However the old shield bonus wasn't too bad. You could always just ignore the bonuses and use whatever you want. +25 Kill Assist...+25 Kill Assist...+25 Kill Assist...NO HOW WHY

I personally like weapon specific bonuses, it helps in defining the role of assaults as offense (though assaults currently suck right now for other reasons). The current Caldari assault is underwhelming, even worse is the Gallente assault's, but if they're changed they must still be about enhancing weapons. I feel that the RR, as of right now, limits how lethal a Caldari figher should be. The combo of having a RR and being shield based really is just asking to be killed on the battlefield quickly IMO. You need a weapon that deters the enemy not causes the enemy to pursue you further because he knows you have a RR that won't do much damage and your defense will deplete quicker than your RR can kill him. It has no ammo lol i beleive thats what holds it back from its intended role, maybe +3 % clip, ammo and range per level for hybrid rail It'll help define roles, i promise:)
