I feel that its forcing us to use hybrid weapons.
Why can't we get something like...
Shield penalty reduction
Bonus to shields amount by 5%

Its almost like the suit is designed to use its racial weaponry! You could make the same whine about amarr, gallente and minmatar assaults, as well as the various commandos.
I like shields but use cr and ar more than the rr some people love the cal assault but use different weapons
