they're not all bad. some of them are awesome players with good hearts.
some of them are productive on these forums.
but most of them are shite players with shite attitudes.
DNS has failed to implement quality control with in their ranks so I believe it is the communities job to assist them.
you forum warriors know who the culprits are, the DNS trolls, I say we actively ignore any comment they make or any thread they post.
in game, to leave any match they are a part of.
let them do what 13 year old boys do best.... play with themselves.
CCP cant fix this problem, they cant really fix much of anything.
and DNS doesn't have the ability to clean their own house so we must take it upon ourselves to clean up our own community.
I call on all of us to ban anyone with the DNS tag from participating in our community.
granted all of them aren't bad, but they have chosen to align themselves with the most toxic alliance in dust and unfortunately must be punished by simple association...they can leave DNS when ever they want and immediately be welcomed back into the greater community.
but that DNS tag is a symbol of cowardice, exploitation, and hate, and we must avoid it like the plague if we are to bring this community back from the ashes.

I agree dustbros... ignoring them doesn't solve the problem, it wont stop pub stomps, it wont thin out their wallets....
but if we spread the word, that we are not gonna "play" with them.... if we ignore them and effectively exile them, if we can separate their community from the dust community, we will have our game back, by simply pretending they don't exist... and who knows maybe their ranks will thin when they begin to realize that all the awesome people to play with aren't in DNS...

I'm having a real hard time understanding why I should care about DNS. Other corps. stomp and with no DNS the stomping will continue. Passive isk is a problem but it seems to me that it's mostly a case of people being relegated to stomper wannabe ' s and not liking it.

i think its because dns has been hoarding all the good corps in the game, causing some balancing issues in pc

I can understand the dislike for DNS. Honestly, I'm not the biggest fan of monopolizing PC either. You have to realize that the only way it'll ever get fixed is if CCP makes significant changes to PC. Active competition should be the norm and should be required to benefit from PC, not these crappy ISK Drills (read: districts) that can only be taken by even crappier clone packs if you don't already own a district. I would absolutely love to see a brand new corp with players I've never gone against pop out of nowhere and absolutely stomp us into the ground. It'd be a breath of fresh air from dealing with these scrub corps who can't seem to grasp which end of the barrel the bullets come out of.
The means that DNS is going through to get PC changed are questionable, but hopefully it'll end up better for all of us in the end. Fanfest is only a few days away so let's wait and see what CCP has to offer. Until then, stop crying about DNS and instead ask CCP to make changes to PC to better allow newer, poorer corps to reign in on PC.
We ALL want to see PC improved. Most of the people in DNS have similar desires. The reason PC is in the state it is now is because we needed to show CCP just how broken it is and how high the barrier to entry is.

Wise words. I agree. But let me explain something to the younger folks.
P*ssy tends to be attracted to p*ssy. P*ssy hangs in groups and prevents penetration by any lone masculine advances. You can't, therefore, effectively control the p*ssy unless said p*ssy is whipped, corralled and conquered.
I've heard alcohol works well to loosen the p*ssy but indirectly, by way of internet transmission may prove ineffective.
Therefore, the best advice is to rely on the company that makes the game to neutralize the p*ssy as best they can lest they lose their player base that will not stand for the p*ssy to continue to propagate and infest said product.
What I'm saying is that CCP SHOULD FIX THEIR F*CKING GAME then we won't have worry about who is who. The Fanfest video from 2009 contradicts the notion of DUST having the total control of an active game area like EVE in that DUST counters the sandbox of EVE for people who don't like sandbox play. CCP was counting on this game to attract those players for increased player base.

Please, save this **** for the people dumb enough to actually believe it.
The community was already complaining about clone packs, PC, and all of the broken mechanics. DNS didn't change anything other than piling obscene amounts of ISK in their wallets and eliminating what little PC was still regularly operating. In fact, DNS directly halted what was going to be one of the largest collective assaults PC had ever seen, against Nyain San's huge collection of districts. Everyone was ready for a great series of fights, but FA, LLC, and others decided that they'd rather take the easy way out and just declare that they own almost everything overnight.
Nobody is going to or could ever reasonably be able to stop DNS, no matter how good they are. The state of PC simply does not allow that as a possibility, and that was known by both the community and CCP long before the blue donut. So, the means DNS are using is completely unreasonable, and completely made up to justify what is happening. You didn't need to show CCP anything. They already knew because we were already telling them, and now we have to sit around and do nothing until something is done, when we could have been actually having fun and playing the game.
Don't fool yourself into thinking you're "better than THOSE guys," because in supporting it, you aren't. |

Active competition should be the norm and should be required to benefit from PC, not these crappy ISK Drills (read: districts) that can only be taken by even crappier clone packs if you don't already own a district. I would absolutely love to see a brand new corp with players I've never gone against pop out of nowhere and absolutely stomp us into the ground. It'd be a breath of fresh air from dealing with these scrub corps who can't seem to grasp which end of the barrel the bullets come out of.
The means that DNS is going through to get PC changed are questionable, but hopefully it'll end up better for all of us in the end. Fanfest is only a few days away so let's wait and see what CCP has to offer. Until then, stop crying about DNS and instead ask CCP to make changes to PC to better allow newer, poorer corps to reign in on PC.
We ALL want to see PC improved. Most of the people in DNS have similar desires. The reason PC is in the state it is now is because we needed to show CCP just how broken it is and how high the barrier to entry is. Please, save this **** for the people dumb enough to actually believe it. The community was already complaining about clone packs, PC, and all of the broken mechanics. DNS didn't change anything other than piling obscene amounts of ISK in their wallets and eliminating what little PC was still regularly operating. In fact, DNS directly halted what was going to be one of the largest collective assaults PC had ever seen, against Nyain San's huge collection of districts. Everyone was ready for a great series of fights, but FA, LLC, and others decided that they'd rather take the easy way out and just declare that they own almost everything overnight. Nobody is going to or could ever reasonably be able to stop DNS, no matter how good they are. The state of PC simply does not allow that as a possibility, and that was known by both the community and CCP long before the blue donut. So, the means DNS are using is completely unreasonable, and completely made up to justify what is happening. You didn't need to show CCP anything. They already knew because we were already telling them, and now we have to sit around and do nothing until something is done, when we could have been actually having fun and playing the game. Don't fool yourself into thinking you're "better than THOSE guys," because in supporting it, you aren't.
And you don't realize who was the loudest voice in all of that do you.

Yea, because you scrubs playing the game as intended has worked wonders so far.
What I'm saying is that there's more to be done then crying. The Blue donut is only the 'now' thing, but when it falls a part it'll be the same crap because of how condensed the skill base is.
People need to train, get better, and have more ambitions. If there's DNSers out there willing to help and work with you - don't call them scum, listen to them. A lot of us do want to help.

Sadly, I wasn't aware of our members doing such things, if I had, things would probably be a little different.
And I've been called a problem for... driving my LAV, and for being in Negative-Feedback, that's it. Never has my trolling derailed a proper discussion in a thread or insulted someone on a personal level. So it's never been a problem.
The real problem are people like you who want to point fingers instead of finding solutions. You're a virus that latches onto the public to make yourself seem worth-while.
Instead of trying to forum warrior your way to beating DNS - how about getting good in the actual game instead? I know how mind blowing that'll be for you - to take action yourself instead of asking everyone else to do it for you, but give it a try. You might be surprised what an organized team of 16 can do.

If ccp says at fanfest pc 1.0 is going away forever and here is pc 2.0 that is great all will be forgiving. If they try to keep 1.0 and sexy it up a bit and just kills passive isk and up the clones packs then we might as well just jerk off with sand paper for another year because nothing will change.
CCP has a very big ego problem and it negatively effects their ability to dev a game. They always assume best case scenario and that players will play how they intended it to be played, not how we use it. We will see if ccp Rouge changes this and we should find out fairly soon too

I watch people who hate you suck up. I see corps bend over so you can lube them up. I see people quit this game because of corps they can't beat. The existence of a donut is what sickens me. Everyone agreed on the top 3 corps you had renown. It doesn't make you villains to take away what a lot of corps were training for.
My molden heath experience was brief. Kane gave 82 a district to conduct T-domes. DDB attacked us a few hrs later. We crushed them. We locked a few times to get some clones. We were attacked by escrow. They crushed us. PC was a waste of time and money. No hard feelings it was pretty stressful and cut into our drinking and drug abuse.
My alliance buddies bought their district and paid their dues on PFC. They trained and learned alot. Kane allowed them to get removed. Nice contract. Its New Eden so it was expected. These guys were devastated. I feel bad because they were trying and getting better. They cared and played your stupid game and still got shitupon.

It isn't what it appears to be with PFC. NF pays the one who left peacefully a weekly sum. There are plans to restore it. The whole mess is AE's fault. It was not supposed to be dismantled that way - but they went a head and **** on it anyways. PFC was supposed to exist during the 100% reign on the sidelines waiting to return after fanfest, loaded with the ISK they received for leaving peacefully.
But a lot saw it differently - and I don't blame them. AE screwed that up bad.

I don't stomp... I run a bpo dren logi the only thing that isn't bpo on my fit is my remotes and links... but even my links are bpo on 1/2 my suits...most people I run with only use basic to adv... I cant speak for molon labe....I cant even speak for L.O.T.I.S. as I'm just a recruit...I have been stomped my fair share... but I deal with it, and being that I run bpo fits I lose little if any isk... my wallet only grows...but no I don't proto stomp and I don't shite on new players....

I'm all for bashing dns, for whatever reason you can come up with really. The thing is people use the word exploiting as though is has meaning here. Which, for me at least I can't understand why. It's not an exploit. CCP created a game that is heavy depended on player driven content. They gave us a **** game mode for end game and haven't really improved it in a year. well I am representing many who do have strong feeling of animosity... I sympathize with them...
see, I am not affected by dns... I don't care about pc, I'm rich, I like the challenge of facing proto stompers in my bpo fits...
but I have heard many express a legitimate gripe with your alliance and ilk...... many of them are new players who don't even know who they are angry at, or why its like the way it is for new mercs.

I see where you're coming from, speaking to Thor in the war room opened my eyes a bit to the little guys situation. I've become sympathetic. The concerns and problems they have with DNS are legit. But we're guys who've seen thousands if not two-thousand plus matches since PC has dropped, while most others have yet to reach one-hundred. I cannot ask these guys to relinquish the land, it doesn't feel right.
But, there must be change, and I want to empower people to make that change, but I can't be the one to make the actual changes. I'm sorry. But I will help everyone get the tools to make the changes themselves however best I can.

Right on. To be honest I'm probably not much good to you. Don't get me wrong I can hold my own in a firefight, pro scout tactics and all that. Big thing is I don't have the time to devote to a Corp or be there for pc no matter what. With three kids my time for gaming is quite limited.

the answer is simple.... those guys should give up no land, but be actively fighting for it, against each other.... why pick on the nubs?

yes it's true, every organization be it in game or in real life have it's fair share of jerks.... take for example the U.S. armed forces.... lot of amazing people there, peppered with it's fair share of jerks, take the german army from the world war 2 era... whole lot more jerks than good guys...
I think you can apply the same here... while most corps do have some jerks, some corps are much worse, case in point.... DNS.

this video game is real life.... all be it an inconsequential aspect of it.... but maybe not so inconsequential...think of this,
if DNS succeeded in completely obliterating this community so no one played and then they quit also, a lot of people would be out of jobs, you could say that the actions of DNS could indirectly make a family go hungry or drive someone to suicide... probably wont happen, but it could.... all actions be they physical, mental, or digital, have reactions....
