If you have specialized into the heavy or sentinel suits prior to Marsh 25th for any reason apart from your racial suit not existing yet, you are what's killing DUST.
Have fun running your easy-mode "I have enough HP to survive one gunfight" suit.
Thank you.

Literally the only counter is a scout and that's not viable for most players.

And all tanks.
I must be doing it wrong Do you mean all scouts with a cloak and shotgun? Or the specific "tactic" of firing before uncloaked head on? There is a big difference.
Tanks are horrible but at least they are easy to take down with little SP due to broken mechanics.

I say this as the normal player not one that knows what they're doing. A fresh out of academy scrub has no chance to deal with a heavy no matter how bad he is.

It's pretty simple if you practice it a lot. When you find an opening, place one RE at a time to avoid being seen. Also, try killing the heavys incoming before you get to your main target ^__^
Again, I speak not for me, but the guys with no SP that are put up against teams with 5+ heavies.

Michael Arck wrote: I only know children who say "but they do it too!!". The OP is stupid. You're talking about easy mode and criticizing people for skilling into heavy recently as if you have to be dedicated from the beginning. It's downright moronic.
It's this elitist attitude that's killing this game. People's egos as if they can put Dust on their resumes and get girls with it. People like you are killing this game. Sucking the life and fun out of it all because you want to sit on your high mountain and point fingers at the lesser unknowns.
Who the **** cares? What if those new players you guys in one instance defend who want to check out the heavy? What does it even matter?
I actually have Amarr sentinel 5 and proficiency 5 HMG and I've had it since Uprising 1.0. It's too easy currently, easier than scouts. At least in the time after the the HMG buff and pre-1.8 there was a fair amount of skill needed.
I don't mind how heavies are it's just when a team has 5+ HMG heavies it prevents the average team from pushing at all. I'm just calling out guys who went into the heavy after 1.8 knowing it'd be easymode. Not because they though "Oh that sounds fun" or that it'd be a new change of pace but because it's what they need to do to keep their precious KDR up.
