I can see the criticism coming already but i really think to help with the games realism we should be able to shoot from the passenger side of an LAV.
I know this isn't HALO but still i know some good amount of people will support me in this.
Think of a FG chasing a tank in an LAV or of quikc deployments behind enemy lines,
The only downside i can see is having an LAV run slowly in fron of the enemy with a HMG in passenger side to slay down the enemy but still, the hits would be extremely hard to pull off while moving

We all pretty much want this, I'm not sure what the holdup is, probably focus on other things. I'd love to see passengers in dropships able to use light weapons and sidearms while aboard as well. Some of the concern might be making it overpowered, since light weapons include swarm launchers and mass drivers and such.

i support shooting from the passenger seat of any vehicle. however i do not support forge's being permitted nor any other waist fire or over shoulder mounted fire weapons like swarms and plasma cannons. all side arms and rifles, even mass drivers, i fully support. +1 for this.
Primary role: Logi
Secondary role: Pilot/Tanker

Heavy weapons are definitely out. The issue with swarms and plasma cannons (the "over shoulder" weapons, is that that's defining yet another weapon type, separate of light. "Well, this is a light weapon, but it's "over shoulder", and I'm not sure that's a good idea. If vehicles are balanced better, it actually might be okay to allow over shoulder weapons off of vehicles.
