From where? Space? If from a Cap ship, they would have to be special ones, otherwise, they'd just be gigantic nukes

Anyways, pub matches should just be held in virtual arenas in specific parts of a station or in a specific part of a city, and the rest of gameplay should be open world, where anything goes (so EVE, but Dust).

They are dropped from the Warbarge (well, fired from a Cannon from the Warbarge). Why?

NULL Cannons are fitted to the land socket, not fired from the Warbarge. destroying them would basically end the match. Well, unless those came back......
