I would love a ROF buff as some people have suggested, maybe 800 to 850 RPM (just throwin' out some numbers).

How about an actual name change while we're at it? It should be renamed to Plasma Rifle. Or Assault Plasma Rifle?
Dropships need a buff. This way they can stop derping everywhere . ;_;

yeah small tweak to rof would sort out most the issues. also with the new gallente assault bonus its almost crying out for the breach assault so actually makign that useful would be awesome. atm it gets outgunned by sharp sticks and sand in the eyes

I cry a little inside when I look at that table of blanket nerfs from 1.8 and see the breach assault rifle nerfed as hard as the main assault rifle.
Zero thought went into that set of changes whatsoever.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

Isn't this indicative of most of the balancing changes (whether that be to new realeased things or rebalanced stuff)
Honestly CCP needs to hire a developer to be in charge of balancing this game, just one guy/girl. Allow him/her to perform hot-fixes weekly, and let him/her fix this game.
If they already have that person, fire his/her ass as they are basically robbing from the company (i.e. you are geting no value for the money you are paying him/her.)
Oh and stop listening to the CPM0, they were supposed to speak for us but they only speak for themselves as far as I have seen so far (IWS).

soem of the changes i'd make are..
Standard RR's and ScR - Change hip fire to that of TAC rifle to reduce close range use. RR is 47 damage (STD) and 461 rof so these are not that high in comparison to range also increase accuracy to 58.92 base. RR is 58.28 and this is a close range weapon afterall. Burst - RoF to 1000, accuracy to 57 TAC - RoF to 500 (ScR is over 700) accuracy to 53. the increased kick brought in to prevent rapid fire mods will still be in effect. this just makes single shot actually worthwhile)
as for the assault varients of the other racial rifles they should all have ranges brought in and dps adjusted accordingly to the short range/high damage line with shortest ranges also having tigher hip fires. the current dps on every other assault vairent simply outclasses plasma at every turn.
Also change to proficiency skills too. 3% per level to the primary damage and 1% per level to secodnary damage so example lasers get 3% damage to shields 1% to armor, RR;s get 3% Armor 1% shields ect. just so they help get a bit of overal damage benefit fromt he skill

A DPS increase, either through ROF or raw damage. If through ROF, then give it an increased clip size. I want to start seeing Duvolles in the killfeed again.

The Plasma Rifle only need a very slight buff, otherwise it's going to be too good once again.
The Combat Rifle also need a slight nerf. It's a close to mid range weapon, but has a 67/84 optimal/effective range (for Proto) while the long range Rail Rifle only has a 75/102 optimal/effective range (for Proto), which is nearly the same. That's just terrible (the mid to long range Scrambler Rifle has 76/96 optimal/effective range for Proto as well).

I personally would like to see it have a damage increase, but a shorter range.
Make it the deadliest rifle, but have it limited by a 40-50 meter range. That's balance.
It's why the ACR isn't that OP. Sure it kicks your ass at 20-60 meters, but at least I'm not getting killed by it at 100+ meters in less time than I have to react to what's hitting me (i.e. the 1.7 RR)
