The countdown began. The mode was domination. Aura began saying numbers. Starting from Ten to Go. Zekrus was nervous. Everyone was. Rego was right beside him with 14 other mercenaries from Caldari Prime who believed that they had no other place to go except into war. Nine. The sweat from the drop suit of Zekrus was almost visible to Rego. He could tell that Zekrus was full of anxiety and wanted to tell him that is was going to be fine. If you die, then you re spawn. Eight. But Rego focused on his own problems. Where he was going to go and which direction the enemy corporation, Quafe, was. The popular soda company was full of "non-experienced" members as well. Seven. Quafe, in the past, paid other corporations to give them certain mercenaries and gain a more powerful team. Rego knew that Zekrus was going to follow him. Six. Zekrus was believing that Rego would follow him. The conflicts will later show on the battlefield. Five. The time was running out to began the battle. This was not the biggest battle ever, of course. Four. But this was the round of the newbie mercenaries. Where all of the ones who seek to give up on life or make some extra dough will come to play. Three. Kellex Hedrov was the most experienced out of all of the newbies as in war skills. She was a former pilot in the Caldari Army. She was also the most expected to get the most kills. Her corporation was Duvolle Laboratories. Two. This was it. All of the future of Zekrus's life will be predicted here. Rego was going to take pride for his corporation and show his father who the better son is. Kellex was going to show that Females are better at war. One. Go.
It began. All of the mercenaries jumped onto the dust plains of Ovi. He jumped out of the MCC with the rest of the mercenaries. Zekrus deployed his shield and landed to a foreign planet. Looking at his gun, Rego asked if Zekrus knew how to use one of the assault rifles. Zekrus replied that he did know how to use it but it was hard to control. Rego and Zekrus stayed together along with most of the mercenaries. Three parted away from the main group and ordered vehicles. All LAV. Rego and Zekrus were in the middle of the pack. Kellex, of course, was at the front, studying the surface and looking out for enemies. A Okinuma raced by them into the enemy direction.
Rego decided the group was going nowhere. So, like Rego, he parted from the group. Kellex was angry. She thought that if you didn't want to die you should stay with the group. Kellex liked power. She always craved attention. This was just another example of how she wanted to stay in control of the group. Losing one person leads into many other abandonment. Zekrus thought Rego was right. If they were going to win, they should go for the objective. Kellex thought that if they attack the enemies ahead of time, they will succeed at their mission. But the mercenaries made a compromise. If Zekrus and Rego capture the objective, they will have to stay there and defend for themselves while the main group goes with the attack plan.
