You realize that everyone involved was already "Proto stomping" BEFORE we joined DNS, right?
If anything, DNS's PC ownership has/will lead to LESS proto stomping. Hear me out.
Before the donut, nearly everyone that is currently in DNS was able to run proto consistently in pubs and still make money from PC.
After? Same deal, except instead of having 10 other groups involved, all the money that they were making(And using to buy proto suits in pubs) is now going to the same people that were already able to afford proto.
We can't spend any more than we already do in pubs. That money goes straight to the bank.
PC already resulted in fairly concentrated wealth before DNS. The current situation just concentrates that wealth further. The fewer people that have that wealth, the fewer people that can run proto in pubs constantly.
Blue donut = less proto stomping in the short term. Long term, we are going to be able to "protostomp" until CCP fixes the game (until the end of time)... But rest assured that the current situation benefits the non-pc player. Less players with wealth = Less players proto stomping.
Also, with every clone pack attack we defend against, we eliminate almost 40 million ISK from the former protostomper's wallets. Doing our part, one district at a time. |

Its called shoot from a distance, take the logi out first, throw an RE and wait for a heavy to go around the corner then detonate. You basically just said you can't kill without using proto meaning you use your proto as a crutch to lug you threw the battlefield. Kinda scrubbish if you ask me...
I think he was trying to turn a semi-qq thread into a balance thread, a noble cause.
We would all be using proto, heavies being OP as **** or not.
But heavies are pretty damn hard to kill at the moment :(. |

What's funny is when I come on these forums and read idealistic counters to situations from guys that would probably get smoked by me if I were to use my BPO Raven fit. Heavies aren't limited by distance like how they were in the closed beta. They can tag you at surprising distances..and can kill you if you stood there long enough. Have you been on an objective and just hacked it when a heavy and a logi runs in there? Yeah, you try and kill the logi first and see if that heavy doesn't mow you down. What I am, "basically", saying is that I don't have time to be playing pitty pat with a heavy with an exile. These heavies have resistances and my damage has been nerfed. I'd rather kill him faster with a duvolle than I would with an exile and move on. Because more times than not, there will be two or three behind him.
The resist bonuses the heavies got are too strong.
HMG should have been adjusted along the same lines as the rifles(~10%ish)
1500 HP is too much. Being slow isn't big enough of a draw back in a chokepoint/objective based game |

Ive been running a melee fit. There is literally no way to make it work without running proto, and your opponents having under 980 HP. :/. |

True, it has been months since I took part in dominating your little corp. I was looking through Xero's scoreboard image dumps to see if I could find one of Teamplayers doing especially well against a KEQ team, but it doesn't look like he deemed you worthy enough to memorialize the event. If you launch at least 30 clone packs in the next day or so, I will be sure to show up to one of them for you, so my team can carry me and we can all laugh about it. |
