I haven't bothered to read through the entire thread, just your OP.
I think PVE is a terrible idea.
I also think that the way you forward your argument is BS, which basically is:
Add PVE and newer players can avoid protostompers - this is true.
No PVE and the protostomping continues - this is very far from true. There are a lot of ways to avoid protostomping without introducing PVE.
A way for players, lets for example's sake say max 20 M SP could easily have dedicated games for those who wants it.
But this needs to made in a way where they can play on all "levels", but the 20 M SP + players can't join in, naturally.
That is just from the top of my head, I'm sure there are a lot more and better suggestions out there.
I don't even see a single good reason to have a PVE mode in a game such as Dust. Go play Uncharted or one of the other 1000 games that are daicated to such a thing.
While Dust is still lacking of much of its intended content, while we still have a terrible amount of varying input lag, while we still lack any sort of tactical game mode other than the very simple and too typical "keep those letters blue" I think that PVE should come very far down on the priority list.
And for the record, most of us love the thougher games when we're up against good organized squads much more than the typical stomp. I find your attitude towards a great bit of the vet population to be insulting, no vote from me.
FU and FU Dust community, you're mostly a bunch of moronic carebear crybabies. Get good.

So you go for the "cute and charming" strategy?
Not the "I have the best issues" strategy.
Good choice, just look at lots of current real world politicians...
Best of luck in any case!

If it will reduce the level of roof camping I'm all for it....
Actually when I think about it, it will most likely remove a lot of the carebear players, periferee heroes and campers from the game. PVP Dust will perhaps become a much better place for competitive play.
Thank you my lord, you've actually managed to change my opinion, a rare feat indeed...
