Generally a blaster tank doesn't do much to my incubus because I'll out-rep them due to being outside their optimal range. Otherwise yea, they'll do more damage. Anything does best inside its optimal. We just need blaster tanks range to be gimped to ~150m since it's an AI weapon and shouldn't outrange missiles/rails.

Well I'm always down in the thick of things, so I'm almost always inside a blaster tanks optimal unless I notice them and move out of the way before hand. Blasters are scary because they're usually on armor tanks, so the railgun does you little good, and if you're using missiles to engage them you usually want to be a bit closer to make every shot count, and those turrets can look up pretty high and rotate quickly. It's amazing how far out they can still apply their damage to you, I've died plenty of times assuming I was far outside their optimal only to be smacked down by damage mods.
That's why when I'm down and dirty I'm always on look-out for blasters since hey are usually armor tankers. Railgun tanks are the only ones who have any efficiency killing me :(. I usually run a missile turret unless I'm scoping around for shield tanks or other DS/ADS, in which case I railgun.

They shouldn't be good at AV. They should be AI focused without posing much of a threat to other vehicles. Stop cutting off your nose because you don't like it. I could say nerf missile damage by 25% because it doesn't give an armor tank any reaction time to active modules or get away. Of course that would be a stupid thing to say because missile tanks are suppose to kill armor tanks and are already very weak against shield tanks. Unlike the blaster which is suppose to be an AI weapon that's good against shields but clearly is good against anything it comes up against. I guess missiles should be the only turret with serious draw backs right?
