STD Scout G/1
Plasma Cannon Bolt Pistol Packed AV Nades
Complex Precision Enhancer Complex Profile Dampener Complex Range Amplifier MLT Cpu Upgrade
Remote Explosive Clack
The PLC is for attempted OHKOs against infantry. The Bolt Pistol is there for CQC engagements. Packed AV nades are used to scare infantry away and are also used for throwing at low flying dropships. Remotes are used for sticking to friendly vehicles, so I can detonate them when a friendly HAV attempts to mate with an unfriendly one. I don't use the clack often but its fun to use if I want to run circles around a lone Heavy. The modules are used for seeing stuff and hiding.
If you haven't guessed it by now, this is my troll fit and I am indeed using my weapons, equipment, and modules for the above stated reasons. I played several matches so far and I even went positive in one. Well, not really. I had15 deaths and 15 kills.
Anyway, how can I make this more fun to use. What weapons, equipment, and modules should and use and what specific ways should I use them? I'll accept all suggestions. I just want to have a little fun. |

I want to see someone do a Prototype Caldari Commando with maxed Hand to Hand fighting putting all Melee Damage amplifiers with a Cloak and just beating people to death. According to protofits.com you can get to nearly 1,000 melee damage.
I think you might get more fun out of the Gallente Hairdryer rather than the Bolt Pistol. It shoots really fast but has Can't Hit S*** Disorder.

Bolt pistol is not really designed for CQC. It's a long range pistol (or it's supposed to be). Want more fun? Put a flaylock on it instead. Add some more speed with a Kin Cat instead of the dampener/amplifier. Otherwise, it looks like a fun build.
Also, yes I am going to be mister pedantic: Standard scout would be a G-1 not a G/1 (that's advanced).

ai yes STD is G-I
But maybe you're running an ADV? That's a lotta complex mods there.
Anyway
Yeah flaylock is quite fun, Bolt Pistol I run all the time now and is for longer range (~40m) and I can't hit **** in CQC with it.
I have a STD 25K G-I speed fit with 3x kincats on it, a shotty, and a STD flaylock coz I can't fit anything else. The flaylock is kinda funny.
I also ran a dual plasma cannon STD commando during an event a few months ago. Hilarious...but dual PLC is not as effective as you think it might be. Weapon switching is pants.

The bolt pistol is really what holds you back (well maybe the PLC because that thing blows.)
But drop the bolt and switch for a flaylock (stupid hard but fun) or, if you're less of a masochist, an SMG.
Use the PLC as a really bad MD, thing will rip shields apart even with splash. Then switch to sidearm and mop up.
Fused locust nades are actually really good on this build if you can stay near supply depots/nanohives. |
