Shouldn't the Amarr scouts niche be survivability? (Especially since it currently has no role) So why then, can the Gal Scout exceed 800HP? btw, Isnt that too high for any scout? Is it fair that the same scout can speedtank and then exceed the Min Scout? (which sacrifices HP for speed) seem balanced?
The Min Heavy is supposed to be the fast Heavy, so why can the Gal Heavy stack kinetic catalyzers outrun it and still have more total HP, all while having an internal repair bonus. What gives here? The Gal should be based around armor repair bonus or armor tanking but there's a problem if it can do both and also have the most low slots in the game.
The gallente don't have the most low slots in general. For instance the amarr and gallente scout have exactly the same slot layout.
But there is something weird with the heavy why the Amarr heavy has a 2/3 slot layout is beyond me. Based on my knowledge of EVE the Gallente are the second fastest and tank through armor repair with the ability to be decent shield tanker as well. So they are quite flexible.
But I would love to see a little more difference in the slot layout (and in HP difference).
For example: Gal scout 2/4 Amarr scout 1/5
Gal Heavy 2/3 Amarr Heavy 1/4
Gal Assault 3/4 Amarr Assault 2/5 (this is a bit more difficult as the Amarr Assault has by far the most CPU/PG of all Assault suits)
HP Difference 30 for scouts, 60 for Meds and 100 for Heavies
Something like that to make the Amarr more proficient in their role... |

This is not true. The gallente scout can't outquick a minmatar scout even with 4 kincats a gal scout is marginally slower than a minni scout with 3 (if one of these fittings is viable is another question). And equipping 4 kincats is not exactly easy.
And this is only true for sprint speed there is no way to buff base movement or strafespeed. All this while the minni has better stamina and stamina recovery....
The Amarr scout can get more than 1000 ehP if fitted right but both the amarr and gal sout will be slow like hell when fitted this way.
The gal scout will be slower than an assault if totally brick tanked with less hp than said Assault.
The only thing I have to agree is that amarr and gallente are a bit too close in terms of HP. On the other hand it makes no sense that gallente and caldari have the same speed.... |

my 770 hp gal scout fit is like 0.1m/s slower than an unplated minmatar assault, big deal. on the other hand it is able to fit 2 proto weapons, proto grenade, proto cloak, second proto equipment, has lower profile, smaller hitbox, and is invisbile on the map when cloaked for everyone except a tripple proto precision enhancer fitted caldari scout.
this is hard to believe as two enhanced plates would slow you down to 5.13 m/s movement speed...and the assault suits haven't been reworked till now.
On the other han the Minni assault is just 0.15 slower than a gal scout but has way more (base) hp and more H/L slots...so this argument works partly in both directions. This is mainly because the minni assault is some sort of scout/assault hybrid...
You are right the gal scout is stealthy but this is exactly what he is supposed to be just like the cal scout is walking proto scanner just with passives alone... |

[...] You do realize that Amarr Laser Weapons require the highest PG/CPU usage, right? That's why Amarr Assaults have the highest base CPU/PG. The suit is made for using laser weapons, hence the bonus. Using other weapons on it just seems silly.
Well the problem is the suit is not limited to laser based weaponry, and here comes the potential balance issue. And I didn't said this shouldn't be done its just the amarr assault is a bit more tricky...and I still believe my suggestion goes into the right direction |
