Is it just me or do shields on anything be it vehicles or suit suck compared to armor? Armor is superior in every way it seems, there is no grenade to obliterate armor that wont obliterate shields yet there is a grenade that with strip a shield tanked suit naked.
Armor is easier too fit and the **** hat sprint penalty is laughable, My proto cal sentinel runs just as fast as me Proto amarr assault the difference is that the amarr assault ran longer jumped higher and could take more beating. I dont know if it is the unbridled rage of some one who has been playing this game too long or what but something needs to change....
a blaster maddy will close the gap into the lol worthy range of a railgun (that nerf was total BS) between a railgun gunlogi before he can get his second shot off and start tearing into him with his blaster and cut him up, and even if the guy in the shield tank trys to run the maddy has a higher linear speed and will just run you down, oh sure the gunlogi can turn a bit better and accelerate a bit faster allot of good that makes when fuel injectors are for high slots! now you have 110 ton 6k armor 560 HP/s rep maddy flying down range at 180 km/h that will plow through anything in its way, missile turrets are ******* useless at mid range anything after 40m and you have better luck hitting a race car with a paintball gun in a wind storm, and if you manage to sneak up on an armor tank with a pair of damage modded missiles and he notices you, your screwed the bastard just going to hit his fuel injector drive underneath you as you fire wildly into the air and are now defenseless as he rips you a new one with his blaster, sure you got your 40 second reload time and a turret that rotates slow then a god damn rail gun your as good as dead, might as well jump out and run for cover as your 400k tank goes up in smoke no point in trying to escape he will just run you down and cut you off no matter where you go. cloaked scouts are fuckin bull ****
-Nerf armor reps make them active once active 30 second cool down -nerf armor tank speed its too high shield tanks cannot compete -buff shields everywhere there ******* useless -buff rail gun range nerf rail gun damage - Remove red line its what caused people to get into this bad habit if sitting in it --have the MCC project a shield down for a safe drop or have a bubble shield that they land in and remove the red line entirely ---If enemy team is "redlined" give them a mass vote option to surrender if X amount of reds in this area and if X time since last x amount of blue passed X point on the map -nerf the combat rifles there OP as hell -make flux nades disrupt cloak -if you activate a cloak then deactivate it it should go into cool down -give the assault class more HP and damage buff across the board = to the class I.E. basic assault gets equivalent to (A) basic damage mod and so on -nerf armor heavy's there too strong -if you do not buff railgun range nerf forge gun range to 200m (There is no sense in 10 meter long purpose built gun having a shorter range then a glorified mining tool!) -increase ISK payouts in pub matches, people who lone wolf or just want nothing to do with PC cannot compete with the people who have billions of isk to throw away and have no worry about loosing a few dozen proto suits while everyone else is struggling to run advanced gear in every match -at this pint i Give not one **** about PC it has been so broken for so long that the only thing that can fix it is a completely system and a full wipe of PC ISK --PC isk will destroy the player market
Thats my rant, if you have made it this far before posting a bout of BS about "Get gud scrub" or " can I haz ur ISK?" congratulations you give half a **** about someones opinion and i applaud you for that, now we can only hope that CCP can see the error in there ways and move in the right direction...

I think your issue may be that youre approaching shield tanking from an armor tanking perspective.
armor tanking as I'm sure you know is about longevity, being able to stand toe to toe with an opponent and win the fight.
shield tanking is stick and move, you cant go toe to toe... that longer sprint and high jump is meant to aid in your evasion, a shield tanker attacks and then seeks cover or disengages to re engage from a different place.
while i'll admit that shields do need some love, they are a viable tanking method if used correctly.
this game makes me sad....

Although I wince whenever I read the N- word (nerf), I support most of this rant. Seymour has it right though. Shield v armor isnt about being equivalent, its about playstyle.
Like the FG bit esp.

Even used in a hit and run the second you engage an armor suit they chew you up, all weapons as far as I know counter shields :|

Wow, big post. Didn't read it all because - CCP/Shanghai hates shields.
They have ever since the slayer Caldari Logis showed how silly their initial suit balance was. CCP/Shanghai has the unique ability to never know that the gamers would game their cute little game nor do they have a clue that a slayer will slay - regardless of their flailing ineffective attempts to counter them.
So they buffed Armor and shields got left behind.
And so it goes.

Some good points about tanks being able to just run under ya I hate when that happens just as you get the drop on some one. That should be fix. The range of the Rail turret I have mixed feeling about since alot ppl just red line them. I like that you have to actually get out of the red line to hit some one makes it interesting and makes you think how you are going to attack the other side. I have taken down some maddys with my gunlogi. It helps when you have your turret skill up thats for sure and try to predict there next turret move. Can be difficult but possible. the range on Forge is tricky Ive been hit by them from a far but they really dont take much HP at long distance and they have already nurf the range on them once. Now get in there range diff story which it should be. since the charge time is alot longer than what a rail turret is and if they have no support they are pretty much easy pickings atleast I think so.
