Now a class actually has a role that trumps YOUR class in certain situations, and it's a bad thing. You want your cake and to eat it too. "Certain situations" It trumps all classes at all situations. Every single one. Being a heavy is the most easy mode thing in the game right now, I got 20/0 while barely looking at the screen, talking to my sister.
Speak for yourself. I have no issues dropping heavies with a laser rifle. Guess what kills me more often. Scouts. It's like rock scissor paper. And you're scissors going up against their rock, when you should be going after paper. Scouts aren't meant to be a solo class. Scouts are supposed to work together with the squad (think the moon orbiting the earth, ie the rest of the squad). Tell your squad there is a heavy and where he is located instead of trying to be the end all killer. The adjustments make plenty of sense to me. If you have a diverse squad with diverse weaponry, a heavies resistances aren't nearly powerful. Before you QQ more about heavies, try running as a squad scout instead of a solo scout and you might notice the new balances were intended to improve teamwork, not remove it from the game. |

Long range, against a class with no long range weaponry? As soon as the heavy gets it's own "laser", you will see why it's OP. Oh and it will get it's own laser, they won't be limited to CQC weaponry.
They already have Forge gunners. They aren't limited to CQC weaponry. |
