I'd say 50 meters farther than blaster turrets absolute range. |

lol, would be nice but I opted for minimum equal footing. They have more power, speed, resistance and repair capability that a foot soldier. Therefore they foot soldier should have AT LEAST the capability to lock on the range their blaster can shoot.

It definitely needs a buff. Blaster turrets are supposedly relatively short range, so I would think swarms should exceed that, being self-propelled projectiles and all. The biggest issue, to me, is lock-on being particularly too short versus dropships. It takes less than a single lock-on for any dropship to go from a standstill to out-of-range.

Yes, and that means after your first hits, the dropship activates an afterburner and outruns the next 2 volleys of turtle rockets. |

It actually should be longer, considering that you have to stand in full line-of-sight of the tank in order to get the opportunity to fire. Either that or have the ability to lock behind cover.
Next, improve missile speed as you go from STD to ADV to Proto. It's far too easy for tanks to dive 0.5 meter behind cover and block most of the damage.

The swarms do, but the launchers is the issue. Just it's lock on range needs to be increased to match or a little more.

Yes, had a game just now and 2 of us using swarms couldn't get this ship, just boosting in circles lol.

I heard an appealing idea about letting swarms lock onto any vehicle that's been scanned down, which could allow you to fire around cover as a unique niche to the weapon. Obviously you'd still have to manage the same obstacle avoidance with it you do now, but you could lock from behind a crate, and arc the swarms over the crate, for example.

Then this ought to be tested as just missing my feet with the blaster but I couldn't lock onto him. The reason for making the post. So i'll be testing later I guess.
