the officially acknowledged stuff that accidentally reverted back after the last major update/ one of the previous live-updates unfortunately does not include yet, that vehicle collision damage reverted back too (to how it was before 1.7 - means that a landing in a shield dropship costs 2000 shields for a landing that would have costed only 200 shields previously - and so on),
please fix it. |

Delta90212 wrote:Uhm maybe you should just learn how to land a dropship? maybe you are just a total troll right there, but... the described problem means for example, that if you are driving an armor-vehicle - the slidest bump oftenly depletes your shields entirely - and even just the slidest touching of any nearby obstacle or the ground in dropships (like from the sometimes insane bumping around from Forge-, Rail-, Swarm-, sometimes even MD-hits) often enough nearly kills you.
so CCP finally recognised at some point that it was c*ap like this and re-balanced that horrible terrain-collision damage with the 1.7 update - but unfortunately the old system seems to be (surely unintentionally) back in effect (not just from how it feels like to me, but also according to posts and entire threads from other veteran vehicle users here in Dust like me). |

Yep, I noticed this although I don't think it is all the way back to what it was before 1.7, maybe part way. It is worse in a Derp.
For Maddies there are several spots on the map that cause the problem. Which makes me think they have regenerated the maps and some fixes were lost. Not like they have good source code control as the latest shutdown message explained.
Hopefully it is maps and we can start sending mesh/map locations in so they can fix them ... again.
And so it goes.
