I'm more than sure Fanfest will bring some stuff to our attention that changes the meta in one way or the other, at least by the FotM. CCP's been deadly quiet about what the expansion's about and I can't help but think that it's something that'll have a very heavy impact on the game. I'm assuming it's not the Arena due to Saberwing(I think it was him/her) mentioning that it's talked about and discussed frequently, rather than saying it's being worked on. It's not PC related, or rather the big "evolution" isn't PC related...

Of course not. This is the Dust community you're talking about.
But, personally, CCP has delivered on enough that I can at least see them saying "soon" and it actually coming out really soon. *shrugs* I keep my hope up because there's a lot of situations where it can seem like things will probably not get better, but end up actually being better.

The keynotes presentation is up on youtube for both the Eve Fanfest 2013 and Eve Vegas. There about an hour and a half long and a lot of time is just to a history lesson of themselves, different skins for all the various suits and vehicles. Surprisingly very little actual promises, and more about where they would like to go.

My expectations for Fanfest and Dust are super low right now. I've quickly learned in this game to plan for and expect the absolute worst while learning to develop new strategies around things that never were an issue before. Then if it turns out different than I anticipated, I rejoice, but only briefly as I make myself remain on guard for the inevitable nerf to my playstyle.
Always the last person to leave. Always the one cleaning up people's messes.

I'm kind of expecting the opposite. CCP Rouge is probably smart enough not to make promises and not deliver. I worry that he'll make very few promises and really only talk about the stuff about to be released in the next couple of months, to avoid falling into the same trap his predecessor did. Unfortunately not talking about longer-term goals for the game and under-promising is probably worse than laying out an interesting plan and falling short of your goals.

I hope they will connect the game more to eve and make it more complex. There is way to less stuff to do. Connect the economy more and pve drones man they had the concept ready and ingame models why not introduce a simple mode and build further on that?

They are somewhat quiet before Fan Fest. There was some leaks last year, as I recall.
However, promising and delivering in Dust are radically different things. Often horribly different. 
VR looks nice. Not that I would pay money to play anything from CCP after being treated the way they have in relationship to Dust. Not to mention a game by the HTFU guys that needs a $350 additional display.
So, quiet might mean nothing more than they are working on the demos so others will share the excitement that is HTFU and die. More than a little likely in fact.

No. you didn't "goad" anything from me. I just gawked at your stupidity for a moment for thinking that the trailer was a live demonstration of PvE gameplay and tried to explain to you it wasn't.
Obviously i can't comment on when PvE is coming, only that I have been fighting to get it in ASAP.
The point I was trying to make was no, thats not a real representation of PvE and they where still working on it.

I'm sure you did and yeah it was a silly statement on their part but a community representative needs to maintain a certain kind conduct with the community it's supposed to be representing.
I know nothing of your or the other CPMs situation, what you go guys go through, where you#re at in the DUST scene, where you#re at in life but so long as you guys have that tag you ought to uphold the aforementioned respectful conduct if only to buil+¦d up the reputation of the concept of CPM.
I get a bit annoyed at some of the cluelessness here and I can take jabs cause I'm just a player...just saying that I hope the CPM grows into an entity that is able to maintain a level of professionalism despite the unpaid nature of the work. Isn't there an interview tomorow, maybe that will yield a little info but I doubt it. CCP are being very good this year at locking down info. Based on the previous Fanfest its probably a very good thing.
Anyway I'm not holding my breath but quietly crossing my fingers for a few things whilst being aware that I could end up disappointed.

You have to understand that we are still players. The CSM & CPM don't have an obligation to act in a certain way to the other players (see Mitanni) so long as we interact with CCP in a way thats beneficial to the game.
I am a player, and here we have another player who came on the forums, took everything i said out of context in an effort to do a "HA! I CAUGHT YOU!" BS then proceeded to launch personal attacks at me

For those hoping for PvE I suggest:
1) Load EVE
2) Take Security Mission
3) Head to mission
4) Watch NPC AI
5) Translate in head to FPS-land
6) Consider whether this would be fun
