I don't suppose being in a squad has anything at all with having a higher success rate in a game that strongly encourages players to get in squads... Hmm? HMMM?! HHHHMMMMMM?!

You show me your standard gear squad vs someones proto squad. Let me see how that goes, equal player skill assumed.
Way too many variables to accurately predict that fight... is the standard squad in all cloaky shotgun fittings? Are the protobears in sentinel HMG fittings? Who is armor tanking? Who is shield tanking? Are the standard squad allowed vehicles? Is the standard squad running with multiple logis? What equipment is the logi using?
"Ripley, stop being difficult. They are all using the same fitting, for argument sake. Also, you are ruggedly handsome, I hope you don't mind if I touch your privates."
Simply giving both squads the same fittings isn't giving us a good "real world" scenario. Personally, I think in a 6v6 fight, with a good squad composition and competent squad leader the standard squad could wipe the floor with the protobears. Especially if the protobears aren't running FotM...
And yes, you may touch my privates now. Gently now. Easy...

DUST Fiend wrote:Ripley you can argue it all day long till you're blue in the face, but until you see top corps letting anything but full proto fits into their PC squads, you really don't have a leg to stand on.
Proto gear gives you an edge. It would make sense for "top corps" to require proto gear in their squads... but that does not mean it is an I WIN button. That's all I'm saying.

I've always thought that having a squad leader who knows what the hell he/she is doing is like having a 7th squad member. Add a logi that doesn't go full-****** cowboy and instead uses equipment to support his squad...
Brings a tear to my eye...
