Well, I found my biggest coward in Dust.
I joined a match. It was about half way done. There was this ADS pilot just halfway on top of the flight ceiling doing nothing except going down for about 10 seconds and then flying all the way up to the ceiling yet it wasn't even under fire. So I call in my Rail tank to see if I can take him down but he spots me. I fought I was about to die (he was flying a python with XT1s) he just starts hovering in the flight ceiling on top of me. Not even trying to shoot me. So I just sat there shooting random red berries until a teammate called in a blaster tank so the ADS pilot went after him (still flying on top of the flight ceiling) So I took my chance and called in my ADS to go after him.... the ADS pilot saw me again so he went back to his redline.... he came back at me and attacked me with damage mods on. He almost took me down but I dodge the last volley so I survived. He went back inside his redline. Stayed there for the rest of the game.

Lol, at this guy being called a coward. It's called tactics and it is the only way to operate according to the way DUST has been designed. Ever heard of hardener cooldown? Checking the map overview for targets? Baiting?
You fell for it. He won. He beat you by shooting you down and making you waste your time going after him instead of contributing to your team.

The match was halfways done. Only like 10 minutes left. And yes it's a tactic. But a rather cowardly one. While I went on and tried to fight him he ran away and even failed to take me down. If he would have continued firing even after his damage mod stopped working he would have killed me. Depending that much on your damage mods is not good.

I seem to remember a certain bear CUBS from CHICAGO that used to bring in his PLAYERs who do not play well with a TEAM into corp battles.
And in these battles, said bear cub would continually get stomped by D3LTA FORC3.
And any time little cubs kdr would go below 2.0, we would all look to the skies for his infamous drop ship, to take him away from the battle and land on any seeming high ground to await his forge gun sniping.
Thus began the age of Forge gun over watching in PC and Corp battles.
If this only happened once, i would not speak, but of the 5 times we played cubs and his "A-team", ALL 5 times against D3LTA FORC3 ,this route of action became a force of habit. This may be why we won 4 out of 5.
Nothing personal, but any commander that puts his poor leaderboard stats over the well being of his team, AND corporation is not fit to lead in battle.
Especially when there are only 8 troops on the field.
Therefore, my biggest coward in DUST award goes to Cubs himself!

I think the change to railgun range was a stupid, short sighted change by CCP, but it had the added benefit of pulling his Gunloggi out of the redline from time to time.

^ I agree but I call it broken mechanics.. Abusing the redline is Bullshit and should not be a tactic.. Or is afking in the mcc a legit tactic too?

I'd agree with you 100% till 1.8, but as I occassionally squad with him when I need some iskies, he doesnt always tank in ambush anymore. Ive seen him in a Scout! And not a Gastuns HMG + LAV either!
That being said I still 98% agree. Dat k/dr tho.

There was this ADS pilot just halfway on top of the flight ceiling doing nothing except going down for about 10 seconds and then flying all the way up to the ceiling yet it wasn't even under fire. So I call in my Rail tank to see if I can take him down but he spots me. I fought I was about to die (he was flying a python with XT1s) he just starts hovering in the flight ceiling on top of me. Not even trying to shoot me. So I just sat there shooting random red berries until a teammate called in a blaster tank so the ADS pilot went after him (still flying on top of the flight ceiling) So I took my chance and called in my ADS to go after him.... the ADS pilot saw me again so he went back to his redline.... he came back at me and attacked me with damage mods on. He almost took me down but I dodge the last volley so I survived. He went back inside his redline. Stayed there for the rest of the game.

at first I thought that might have been me, but no ads pilot I know, including myself, uses damage mods. But in all honesty, it sounds exactly like me.
