Last year CCP did say that Market 2.0 would come after FW 2.0 (which was the christmas patch) so 6-8 months to bring at least some form of player trading should be on its way. also i'm guessing that seeign as the winter patch 2014 would be about a year since tanks where removed i wouldn't be suprised if they're going to announce a big vehicle patch with all 4 races and the single pilot fighter and poss pilot suits. they had the concept art at last years fanfest alongside the dropsuits just released so they must be well on their way to being finished by now

I'm very hopeful for the reveal of Market 2.0. Not player tading, just the different look and feel of the market to make it more interesting and easy to navigate through. Weren't they talking about it at the last Fanfest?
Either that, or they'll get on stage and talk about the next release, which will HOPEFULLY be a big change to the NPE, and core mechanics of the game instead of any sort of extra content.
IWS already "confirmed" that there won't be a 1.9 by saying something along the lines of "If they even call it 1.9"

It had better be a total overhaul of the core structure, or they're screwed with better games hitting the PS4 this summer.
Market, open starmap, PvE, total balancing, corp battles, eve player presence, corp armory, PS4 port. Hell with more vehicles and weapons, I want a game that actually delivers something and doesn't feel like a 6 year old shooter.
At this point, why settle for less. They should have had all these planned out for how they would be integrated before this game left Beta. |

Just this evening a few buddies rammed home how important this is. They logged into Uprising 1.8 for the first time and tried to play like it was pre 1.7
They were so angry I had a hard time getting information or provide meaningful help. They were still stuck on the Golden AR days and stacked complex damage mod Frames with a Charge Sniper Rifle. Deploying into an Ambush in a two man squad did not help. Two guys rage quitted after two games. It was months since they played last time and it will be months again this time.
One guy who was a die hard Minmatar ships only Eve pilot was barely listening to me hawking the advantages of the Assault Combat Rifle would have on his Minmatar Assault Dropsuit.
PVE now or just bury this project with World of Darkness.

DUST has potential not based on what they have shown but what they have promised and hoped for. Because of this, they need to actually show some of that potential rather than promise and hope for more.
Honestly, if DUST worked as well as they kept hoping and dreaming about: taking sovereignty, influencing the Real World of EVE, being more than just a bunch of people fighting on a rock, the game would be as epic as EVE though in a different way. It is that potential why I continue to hope and play.

Part of me wants to be all excited and stuff, but the part of me that is rational knows it's probably just them trying to polish the tu..game by throwing more content at us, maybe a map or two (which will still be barren, desolate things, not representative of the "Temporate" planets we are supposed to be playing on) without working on the overall coding issues that cause lag, snags on terrain, or other deep-seeded problems this game has had since launch.
I suppose I can sum it all up with two words: "Cautiously Optimistic". |

I would be happy if CCP Shanghai would introduce one time per year aurum full respec. this would atleast allow some players to repair the constant core mechanic changes on their characters & speed of introducing core content which forces alot of players to train into something new every major patch because their old stuff just dont play out in terms PLAYSTYLE as before. I know some guys that would instantly return to the game if that would happen.
it is obvious that CCP Shanghai likes to count dollars from booster sales. why not just go to the next level?
a one per year full respec for aurum is a win for everyone. players can repair CCPs design decision mistakes, perfectionists can remove that lvl 1 of whatever skill they are not using and CCP earns money for better development. it matters because it is a one time thing and costs money.
and why stop there? give us race change and decorations for my quarters for aurum too. |

EVE vegas they claimed to be workign on a Respec for AUR model. when and if that comes into play would be interesting.
in EVE you get to respec your chars attributes (what alters speed a skill trains) once per 12months. an idea had was you goto skill tree and select the skill you want to return sp to unallocated and it works out an AUR price based on amount sp returned maybe 1000 AUR per mill sp

At least the Pay To Win aspect of the game would be front and center.

Your don't want to wait to play with the new toys? Respect for AUR today!
Don't have the SP for the FOTM? Respec for AUR today!
Constantly changing the core mechanics is their actual game plan, at least it seems that way to me. Each turning of the screw wastes SP/ISK/AUR and causes more SP/ISK/AUR to be required by all Mercs. All CCP/Mothership cares about is sinking SP/ISK and of course the lovely AUR. Past that, HTFU.
It would cause F2P gamers to leave in disgust. Why? Some of them actually don't have the cash to buy AUR.
This would be spread over the intertoobes and then new players would be less likely to join. Why?
Because they would Know that they could be outspent by players with more AUR than they would commit to.
Welcome to Dust, where AUR is king. 
And so it goes.

Honestly If they just opened up a player market or player trading. It would be ok to have AUR only items and AUR only respec because you could sell those for ISK.

porting the client to ps4's psn and keeping it in its current state would probably be more favorable in a similar way EVE can be run on various spec PC/MACs just the front end client with no graphical upgrades.
if a compatible client isn't released soon i cant imagine dust surviving much longer. this xmas more people will be moving to next gen. prices are being cut and come september after the summer games lull there will/should be more reason to buy a next gen console. playerbase is falling not increasing and at the moment there isn't really room for a 'slow burning' progression for dust. ability to play on ps3 and 4 will at least give players who upgrade or want to upgrade the opertunity to do so and maintain as much of the playerbase as possible at the least amount of cost

they could release themes that are similar to the eve ship skins they recently released, Aliastra, Quafe and so on and perhaps even do 'elite' packs for the -ú79.99/$99.99 with all 4 BPOs and the equipment/weapons and 2 x 30 day active/passive boosters as before. players want something to benefit them not disposable items especially in the games current condition. who wants to lose real money cos soem scrub in a tank?

speaking of the market, one rumour (which is quite believeable) is that you wont be able to sell officer weapons on it. on the EVE player market the only way to buy/sell officer wepaons is via the contracts service so that may be something to think about before you all get your hopes up  unless there is some kind of direct player to player tradign facility too

Seems no ones really calling it but it's very probable (almost obviously so) that it's PvE. Think about it, what else would they flaunt as playable in the smaller group settings of the convention that would also be a step forward and exciting. Calling it now: first look at PvE at Fanfest.

OK i'll bite
Not what I expect but really what CCP should really be delivering ASAP and in no particular order
1) Player Trading ( at a minimum ) some market trading.
2) PvE &/or PvPvE
3) Racial vehicle variants
4) The other heavy weapons ( because they really have waited long enough )
5) The Link between games NEEDS to be so much deeper than the shallow pool it currently is
6) Better Corp tools - Hangers, Training Simulator etc etc
7) N.P.E. ( come on CCP )
I'm sure there is more, but that would count for an evolution from the current build in my eyes. Good Luck CCP.

Since this is about the hype and not anything real I suppose the EVE Legion makes more sense than delivering a FPS that actually has functioning FPS features.
Guns that work, reload, hit targets, not require hot fixes to be applied to one weapon type twice while never fixing the many others that still fail.
The FPS genre has moved on while we are still, stuck in the non-working Dust.
And so it goes.

If CCP can't make their PVP model work in perpetuity then DUST 514 is doomed to fail anyway.
PVE is the biggest Waste of TIME DUST will get Besides Nerfeing and Buffing Every Weapon in the Game and spending over a year and a half on it.

Not giving out any info prior basically means that this is a go-big-or-go-home moment for CCP and Dust. If it turns out to be nothing but hot air I really dont see a lot of vets sticking around much longer. If it turns out to be something big (new engine or news of PS4 move) then we might actually get some old vets to start returning to the game.
Things that have to be outlined for the next 6 months to keep interest:
- NPE overhaul
- PC overhaul
- Market 2.0 with move to full player market
- PvE
- Game stability work
- New game modes
