Personally I have conceded to the fact that it will be more way over sold hopes and dreams and the so called hands on experience will be pressing play on another trailer.

Since this is about the hype and not anything real I suppose the EVE Legion makes more sense than delivering a FPS that actually has functioning FPS features.
Guns that work, reload, hit targets, not require hot fixes to be applied to one weapon type twice while never fixing the many others that still fail.
The FPS genre has moved on while we are still, stuck in the non-working Dust. 
And so it goes.

Will be the biggest Mistake they will make with DUST 514. sadly it looks like they are doing it even though I thought Hilmar had learned his lesson with Station walking in EVE online almost killing off their main title.
There is NOTHING CCP can do with PVE in the next year of developing on it solid... that won't be massively under-delivered on. And be a simplistic piece of crap.
We will get handed a steaming pile of Sh!t for PVE because of this kind of short sighted thought.
If CCP can't make their PVP model work in perpetuity then DUST 514 is doomed to fail anyway.
PVE is the biggest Waste of TIME DUST will get Besides Nerfeing and Buffing Every Weapon in the Game and spending over a year and a half on it.

That at least has me a little hopeful for a big reveal.
Not giving out any info prior basically means that this is a go-big-or-go-home moment for CCP and Dust. If it turns out to be nothing but hot air I really dont see a lot of vets sticking around much longer. If it turns out to be something big (new engine or news of PS4 move) then we might actually get some old vets to start returning to the game.
Things that have to be outlined for the next 6 months to keep interest:
- NPE overhaul
- PC overhaul
- Market 2.0 with move to full player market
- PvE
- Game stability work
- New game modes
