I have a question about biomassing. It seems like alot of people are doing it but I don't understand. When you biomass does CCP give you a payout or is it some merc running a lottery. What do get back when you biomass? Thanks for any info you can provide. o7

Biomass is just that you delete the character, I have biomassed a character that i was not using and i got nothing so i dont think ccp is giving you stuff to delete your character. |

Jadec wants people to biomass themselves for his "challenge". They supposedly get ISK and other goodies after the biomass, to an alt, of course.

One person biomassed (deleted) his character because he was fed up with DUST. Jadek Menaheim is including it as one of his Challenges in his lottery. Basically, his Lottery is "challenge based." Things like "crush 10 enemies in a militia dropship in 1 match" give 13 tickets. At the end of the lottery, a random number is pulled. That number wins. More tickets = more chance to win.

If you are bored and want something fun to do, I highly suggest it. Some of the things in there lend themselves to a unique aspect of play that you might not have tried before.

Biomassing is how you win Dust.
It is also a sign that you have finally come to your senses and are ready to admit this game will never get anywhere.
Jungian was right about a lot of things, especially about the small core of 'tards who will never leave this game for one reason or another. They game is never going to completely die because there is a small group of looneys who want to give CCP money for this tripe.

Biomassing your character almost ensures you don't come back like you could if you just delete the game.

When I first started Dust, because it took me so long to learn what skills and weapons/suits were good and which weren't, I biomasses about 9 characters before I finally figured it out with this one.
Always the last person to leave. Always the one cleaning up people's messes.

Nope there is no payout, or talk of a current payout system by CCP for a clone biomass. The act wipes all assets held on a character including ISK and any gear including Blue Print items. I believe AUR is also wiped if it is the last character of three to be deleted otherwise AUR is deleted by cancelling that PSN account.
As for Biomassing in terms of my lottery, Joseph Ridgeson is on point (except two players have biomassed for this lottery, Jungian did not). It is a challenge based event that pays in tickets. Here is an example of a transaction for Kaydee Rashyo. I weigh the value of items and attributes on a character and count these points toward a benefactor which the player names before Biomassing. That benefactor also receives a point modifier which is discussed more here. [Link]

Tier 4million sp pays 8 tickets
Blueprints:
-Dragonfly Scout [nSv] - 6 tickets
-Toxin SMG - 6 tickets
-Exile AR - 20 tickets
Total = 32
Your Level Commission with BPOs:
(BPO Value) * 0.4 = 12.8 (13 Tickets)
Total War Points
28,504 WP * .0001 = 2.8 (3 TIckets)
ISK and AUR Destoryed
(8,760,000 ISK * 0.000001) + (0 Purchased AUR * 0.004) = 8.76 (9 Tickets)

Supposively some have been creating and biomassing new characters regularly. They do this for the 500,000 Isk starting wallet by donating to another character. Its stupid because you can easily get that much money in 1-4 matches (you know, play the game you downloaded?).
The most OP weapon on the Dust Battle Field:
One good logi, one rep tool, and a heavy.

Lol Im not stupid enough to biomass my main. Had it since closed beta and have way to many BPOs. Doesnt mean I cant get rid of an Alt i dont use..

Just remember that once you biomass your character it deletes its assets including BPOs.

biomassing is an old eve tradition
it all started when the first guy who went apeshit over losing a ship that he rage quit the game right after he/she biomassed his/her toon which is a full delete, no refund ever given for that because the system asks like 3 times hey dumbass are you sure you want to do this??
epic rage tears collected by many a lowsec or nullsec pirate as produced after killing someones billion isk plus marauder mission runner ship in low/null. mmm like a sweet wine I tell you. |
