DUST Search - Getting kind of annoyed at this game

I got completely accustomed to the exact kick, feel, etc. Knew exactly how many rounds I could put out at what accuracy before greater dispersion took affect.

Then 1.7 comes along and I immediately find myself constantly outranged and underpowered in all types of engagements. So I think possibly I can use AR in cities or around objectives to compensate for the range problems. Nope, get killed constantly by fatsuit heavy scrubs with RRs, even in CQC. I then just forced myself to learn CR and have never enjoyed Dust as much since.
AR is still usable, but only in certain maps and specific circumstances.

1.8 brought back a bit of joy for me as I picked up the shotgun and my scout suit again as I had when I originally used in Dust, but I started to see just how bad cloaking was (both on the user and receiving end) combined with the constant sentinel HMG spam. I guess I keep hoping that the devs will get their heads out of their asses and begin to restore the game from the last disastrous Uprising patches, but that hope is starting to fade.

But, they don't read these forums hardly so how could we ever expect something like that (which would help revitalize this game). Always the last person to leave. I actually hit my cap before the weekend and I am very happy, because this is one weekend I won't have to waste my time playing this game chasing the stupid cap. I think my days are numbered, and fan fest is the only thing left for me to look forward to. I really hope fanfest is bad. Also if you missed it... git gud. For the Federation!

Between the non working skills and the wonderful scouts, playing heavy solo is pretty much a no go. The gameplay itself is just tired. Over the last 6 months I can only think of two events that afterwords needed to be told to others. 1. Shooting down a dropship and having the flaming hulk destroy a tank and getting 6 kills out of it. (First weeks of 1.7) 2. Some scout nova knifing my logi, giving me a cut, then no scoping me with a sniper rifle. Was absolutely epic, and I have never been owned more thoroughly in any FPS. Even though I know that the sniper shot was blind luck, the sheer nuts that guy had to pull it off deserved to be told. Whoever he was, he was the best Dust player ever. The rest is just a stale pile of mush. For lack of a better reference, but where are the "Battlefield" moments? Mr. Hybrid Vayu.

I'm guessing the reason you're not having a good time is because you're playing something that isn't fun. Sounds like a personal problem.

If you want to be abused and enjoy it, play DkS2. The abuse here isn't nearly as rewarding. I used to love this game, back with D3ath D3alers and Anonymous. I ran Logibro with a rep tool, even when it pissed off the FC. Then PC got stupid, everyone was annoyed without endgame, district locking, something about donuts, and there's only one alliance. Now I'm running heavy, which is more self sufficient. I'm looking for a reason to have fun here again. Perhaps the definition of insanity is coming back here. If I could invade the games of pubstompers until they absolved their sins, I would run a cloaked shotty all day.
