Yes i know what server we run off of i play both Dust and EVE. the current player dust players logged in right now is 4,000 but people who actively play this game is over 50,000. just because i am not logged in at this second does not mean i am not an active dust player.

Okay... Are you aware of the term Active player? It does not mean you are currently playing, it means you play on active schedule or regularly. So if you look at the stats, you will see on the monthly cycle since last year its never gone above 4500... Keep in mind these are live feedback servers which records everything and stores things in real time. That means it records data per minute. so you can actually see per min in a month/day/week how many players are currently playing. So the end result is on the monthly cycle 4500 players... Current players online is not the same thing.
yeah and there are over 50,000 players that regularly play the game...
just because they are not currently playing does not mean they are not playing the game "on active schedule or regularly."

That low balling it to.
lets say there are 4,000 players on at a time and each player has a gaming session of 2 hours. so they would rotate out every two hours. so 4000 players play for two hour then go do real life stuff and a new 4000 get on this goes on for 24 hours and that would be around 48000 people playing this game in just one day. these 4000 on right now are not playing the game 24/7 some people log off and other log on.

So your active in 24hours, 1 week, 1 month, 1 year. So if you play once in one year... Your active in 1 year but not 24 hours, 1 week, or 1 month. Which is way they have charts for each time period.
