So here is a tip about them:
They run a serious train. This means they take zero breaks between matches. When you are in a match with them just leave before spawning and select a new match. You will then be out of sync with them for quite a few matches if you are also running a train. You can also only select one server as they tend to do all of the servers. This limits your matches to that server alone which increases the odds of not going against them.
Personally, I LOVE TAKING OUT THEIR HIGH ISK SUITS AND TANKS. It is very hard to do but it brings me serious pleasure. I have become a much better player trying to beat them. ALWAY finish off the suits (here comes the "that's what the female clone said" jokes). Always pop those last few shots so they can't save the suit. I now do this EVERY match and it has helped us win matches simply because it takes away WP for medics and forces a lost clone on the opposing team.
Although I can't verify this, I can say that someone told me if you block people they are less likely to show up in matches with you. So you can just block all of them. I, personally, don't think this is true.
Lastly, I run an SSD drive and I KNOW for a fact they run KB/Mouse. I know this because they are using KB macros to get vehicles in. There are times where I spawn in before they do and they can still get a vehicle in before me. That being said, if you also run an SSD drive then you can spawn a gorgon and goto two really high spots as quickly as possible and drop uplinks (two spots because they will OB one of them). You'll get massive WP for people spawning. There was one freak match where 4 thales spawned in and some charged sniper rifles and officer forges and raped them apart simply because I put uplinks in hard to reach places very early. They didn't get enough WP for 2 orbitals so they only got one spot.. We were down 20 something clones and by the end we were up10 to 0. If you don't run SSD then don't spawn vehicles, it just isn't worth it. I know some peeps that are all over beta tankers sacks will say that Nyin San/chan don't have good tankers but those guys are nuts. These guys are some of the best tankers in the game. The only people I've seen better are two my in game friends Night and SouthPac. I would argue that Cloak Wolf Rider is even better. But there is only a small handful I have personally witnessed. I obviously have not played with or against every tanker but if I can take you out more than one match with RE's and nades then I don't add you to my watch list (reserved for skilled tankers). Anyway, all of that was to say that don't waste the isk/aur trying to out tank them.
All of that being said. They are still incredibly skilled players as a whole and work very well in a team. I dislike getting stomped when we can win but I never really rage when we don't have a chance.
I still want to learn to counter AV as well as L OST and G P machine do in tanks. Those guys are very, VERY difficult to take down with infantry AV tactics without a reasonably skilled team involved. |
