Hmm, your logic has no flaws, except that I rarely use proto anymore on the first go, only when I get proto stomped myself.

A basic tank is way better than a basic dropsuit.
Also, don't act like you use a basic tank by choice. It's easy to see you're the type of person that would run a proto tank all day long if we had them.
Edit: Oh and can't forget about Spkr, he'd be there in a proto tank with you all day too. Yet somehow he'd still manage to lose multiple proto tanks to militia swarms.
