Did they change the dropship speed of the grim/gorgon and myron/viper? Grim/Gorgon moves pretty slow compared to how it moved before which wasnt long ago..last week I think? (I'm not good with time)...which I guess makes sense cause its tanky? but why does the myron/viper move the same speed the Grim/gorgon do its suppose to be fast..right? I could be imagining all this... that is a high probability
I'm also a terribad pilot so that too

Becuase CCP hates caldari pilots, just look at the collision damage tap for python, ista death Ram for incubus, half health gone

I agree. While the lesser levels have always been sluggish, I think they've gotten worse, and My Python is considerably less agile than it used to be. Combine the lack of agility with what seems to be an amplified AV impact effect ( spinning out of control when hit ) and you are kind of a sitting duck, b/c you no longer have the maneuverability to counter that effect.
An incubus is currently performing better, has greater durability ( due to a bug mentioned elsewhere in this forum regarding relative effectiveness of AV weapons and lesser impact ), and can simply play tag with Pythons to knock them out of the sky with very little risk. I just did it last night - dove into a python ( fully expecting to die myself ) - the Python was smoked instantly but IRCC it didn't even deplete all my shields. That is broken.
At the same time, it is my perception that tanks have once again turned into LAVs - their acceleration is absurd now - like it was when 1.7 came out. I had a guy earlier this week evade my wet sponge dropship simply alternating between going forward and backwards over and over again. Tanks used to take at least 2-3 seconds to get up to speed from a dead stop - not anymore. |

I also noticed this, my gorgon has no plates but still cant accelerate fast enough. But i use after burners to help me.
You cant see me caldari scouts ;)

Afterburners do help acceleration, but they don't help the turning. Yaw, roll, and pitch used to be very responsive in a Python. I push my stick left, right, up or down, and the Python would respond immediately. Now there is a very noticeable lag between my actions and my controls, and the level of lag isn't even consistent between games. Some games it is tolerable, other games I barely move. |

Yeah that is why I prefer the Incubus/Grim atm I used the Caldari for their speed and maneuverability but that is somewhat lacking atm even with a AB its lacking. The python is still good it lost some of the agile but still workable.
On the tanks acceleration..I think its the same as when 1.7 came out cause they never changed it..they didn't say they did...if they did I missed that.

Blue tag please.
What changes, if any, have been made to dropship mechanics. I want to say it definitely feels different. I have been flipped over by a rail hitting the side of my ship. In PC the AV is ludicrous. I just want to know the logic and changes so I can properly adapt to your ever-changing balance.
After sinking sp into flying and being nerfed so much, I feel the price should be nerfed too.

Is there any good reason why a python got a maneuvering nerf? Didn't realize that my ability to control my ship was what was wrong with vehicle balance.

Keep the price were it is if not raise it to help combat crappy ramming ships:-) try flying a python with a complex heavy shield extender that's a flying brick right there I'm not sure how shields add mass like armor and slow you down tho.

Fix the collision damage on the Python! I hate it when some d bag uses a militia dropship to ram me and make me lose control. Also, what happened to the Eryx? I loved that thing, not only because of its stats but the color was beautiful. One more thing, I destroyed a Kaalakiota Recon dropship, how do you get these? |
