He likely wasn't able to successfully landing on the moon, so got fired.
Not to sound harsh, but I won't miss him. He didn't care about the community.
Edit: To elaborate, he didn't want to get feedback from players early because players wouldn't be able to theorycraft before actually trying out the stuff (as clearly demonstrated by the OP Flaylocks, Rail & Combat Rifles and HAVs just to name a few examples  )

If you follow my rantings against the barely functional machine that is CCP/Shanghai I have ceased referring to the Wang Nerf Hammer of Doom and just call it the Nerf Hammer of Doom. I was hopeful and now, thanks to you, I am joyous.
