Something simple I thought off the top of my head, if an existing nanohive or uplink exists and someone places another within a certain range of the equipment, to automatically destroy the new uplink or nanohive. I think this would stop more spamming and the frame rate drops associated with such actions. |

And nothing to stop someone from abusing that and keeping all the WP for themself? Or did you mean multiples from the same person are destroyed, but then what about dedicated rep hives next to ammo? |

"It would be hives to hives, links to links, and it would affect any friendly who tried to place similar equipment within a 3m range of equipment" is what I was thinking. |

Haven't really noticed nearly as much equipment spam the times I've played since the suit bonus changes. It's actually been kind of annoying how many of the few uplinks I've seen thrown out have been 15s ones and right next to a 10s CRU no less.

<-- Feel free to use my strategically placed and superior Amarr uplinks any time.
I suggested something similar a few months ago. After much discussion the conclusion was that the mechanic would have to be that you could not place a NEW uplink within a certain radius of an existing one. This prevents griefing by running around destroying other peoples uplinks. Whoever gets there first gets the spot.
But yeah, I think the overall equipment nerf has decreased spam to an extent, but I never got the hate on equipment anyway, it was just a scaepgoat for lag I guess.

I like your idea, but i think the range should be the bubble that the nanohive creates, and a little more than the oscillating ring range around the uplinks. All in all, +1 |
