I will sometimes come across someone referencing a map by a specific name, such as "Manus Peak" etc. I have not seen these names anywhere in game. Am I missing something or where is this info located?

The map feedback section has a link to images of maps in the stickys.
As an aside, Manus Peak used to actually have a peak. Its the 3 objective map with a large, mostly flat plain to the right of B. That is where the mountain was. Back when sniping was actually viable, you could take a few minutes and run to the top, and have some good fun.
Now, it is just the most horrible map in the game...

I still like it.
Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else there is the Learning Coalition.

this was the very first match map I played on back in beta. ambush, it had the old night time lighting. went 3/4. oh the random spawning on such a small map...

It's blatantly imbalanced in Dom. One team starts on the ridge side, one starts on the low ground. It's easily the worst map, with Fracture Road being a close a second.

Personally my kryptonite map is Line Harvest. It's a sniper and scout dream, none of which is me. Every time I see that map load I take a deep breath and prepare myself for a crappy performance.
