I've always been against respecs, but now I'm starting to think they are a necessity since ccp cant balance their game and keeps breaking it worse every build...
if ccp cant get it right, how are we supposed to spend our sp wisely?
this game makes me sad....

yea it's safe to say there's no integrity to any build or plan and that what we enjoy now will just be nerfed soon.. i hate respecs because all it does is reinforce the FOTM brigade but you do have a point

Whenever I 'hear' something from another player, I think the best course is skepticism.
Few things:
"Why would there be a respec and on May 5th of all times?" I have seen 4 respecs since I started playing in Closed Beta.
1. When DUST 'officially launched' on May 14th.
2. Emergency opt-in respec a week afterwards because some skills were written incorrectly and Dev's stated "They are not working correctly but are supposed to do what they say" (Vehicle Engineering) and Vehicle shield module requiring both Dropsuit shield skills and Vehicle shield skills to use.
3. 1.7 Vehicle Revamp and respec of all Vehicle skills.
4. 1.8 Dropsuit Command respec.
All of those were big things. What is going to happen 2 days after FanFest that would warrant a respec?
"I am getting this information from a player in game, yet there is no talk about it on the forums nor any announcement." That is a pretty big clue.
"Did the player give a source to where they heard this or did they hear it from a friend of a friend?"

Where did you run across this doozy? Was there something in-game such as an announcement, or was this just something someone typed in a channel or something.
I'd be all-in for a respec on 5/14, just for an anniversary gift or something.
I for one am tired of CCP totally hosing up my SP plan based one where the nerf bat lands. 
You'd think this would make me want to grind more, but really it just makes me say *meh*.... maybe I'll play when I feel like it (which is less and less these days)

No the most possible conclusion is a full weapon refund due to the introduction of the rest of the racial weapons.

You know the drill. I specifically said that I'm inclined not to believe that there is a respec unless it is for all intents and purposes shouted from a mountaintop by CCP.
Nonetheless, I just wanted to make sure i didn't miss something obvious, as I typically only check the General Discussion and Rookie Training Grounds forums...sometime the RP forums.
