I mean ****... I don't have a hard time soloing tanks... and if there are more than one or two in a area I run away. Some stuff is annoying (Nian Proto Stomping) but thats to be expected, and knocking down a few of their suits is fun. I just don't get it. Why is some much being complained about here? |

the reason why people are complaining is because they are stupid and something they will never skill into kills them then they cry for it to be nerfed because they are stupid and dont like what killed them. thats abut the jist of it they are just stupid, ive been pushing for the completion of content since day one not buff/nerf bullshlt. |

Yeah, buffs and nerfs are stupid at this point. The community will adjust and the things that are OP will be countered tomorrow (eg: brick scouts vs ewar scouts). WE NEED CONTENT> |

First of, Tanks are to fast, and blasters are to powerful against infantry A simple ROF nerf and damage increase will make it harder against infantry without truly nerfing it.
2. HMG, they dish out too much dps with a huge mag, they wern't nerfed in TTK fix so heavy's have imminence firepower. 3. Amour Extenders, they give to much amour for little PG and CPU cost, just look at gallente brike tanked scouts. 4. CR, to a much lesser degree of the HMG, it is OP but not enough for people to complain. 5. Cloaks, and i mean not cloaks in general, cloaks are invisible on certain TVs, that's why there's an massive argument over if their OP or not. 6. Shotty, well im not sure but their annoying like hell
UP list 1. Flaylock, needs bigger clip 2. Plasma cannon, again it needs a bigger clip 3. STD swarms

Primarily because the attitude of: if I ***** enough on the forums, I can get my toys buffed and the other children's toys nerfed. And the worst part of it is that CCP has actually given into these people, encouraging the childish behavior.
Although, some complaints are totally valid. Like mine. (For those of you who didn't get it, this part is a joke)

Vehicle Damage mods are too powerful. +30% was meant to help against 40/60 Hardeners. Currently, a Glass Cannon beats a heavily defended tank in a 1v1 scenario where they both hit and fire at the same time. Before the change, they needed to get the jump. Now the fights heavily favor Glass Cannons. They should be lowered to increase vehicle v. vehicle TTK.
When it comes to Protostomping, I don't know how much of it is Prototype gear and how much is just 6 people working together.

im An ADS pilot, FG/ swarms knok my aim and make me retrate, they are annoying but im suggesting an buff to STD swarms
same goes for rail tanks, can 1 shot but need to get close, balance

Are any of these really that problematic?
1. Maybe a little 2. Don't engage a heavy from the front within ~30m. Heavies are supposed to be the kings of frontal CQC and short range/interior socket defense. This isn't a problem it's a design feature. 3. Armor recovers at a base rate of 0, slightly higher for Gallente. It's a blunt instrument form of tanking that works as intended. 4. The CR does offer a superior damage profile, DPS, ROF and range over the AR. The Scram has better alpha and the RR has better range. The AR could use a slight buff. 5. Don't run the game in 480 6. Bad shotgun scouts will occasionally kill you and then rapidly die...good shotgun scouts are a pain, just like they've always been.
1. The flaylock could use a buff 2. The plasma cannon could use a buff 3. STD swarms could use a small buff
The point is that time and effort spent with small balance changes is a less valuable investment than allocating resources to fleshing out the game play experience with new content.

It's just an idea.) -Scratches the back of my head.- Hmm, the most I can see out of this is that each update, there's a tug-o-war between all things nerfed, and buffed. Yes, it gets pulled in different directions, but no matter the direction, the result is always the same.
Then people come onto the forums, they whine, and complain. And they get angry at CCP because they can't work at an inhuman pace.
What most people lack here; The understanding that balancing takes A LOT of work, and a helluva lot more insight than just simply doing something, and saying, "This works." I'll give you an example: How do you think all of the factors in this game are balanced weapon-wise? The Combat Rifle does this much damage, the Rail Rifle does this much damage. -Points at the Plasma Rifle- This is probably the reason why things are st as they are. The first gun released, or rather, something considered to be the BASE Statistic. For different sections, there's a different base sstatistic to work off of. Dropsuits? Assault Suits. Weapons? Plasma Rifle. Equipment? I beleive to be nanohives, or nanite injectors.
See what I'm getting at here? Good, because I don't. At least, I didn't AT FIRST while I was typing this. Either way, there's always a medium that's supposed to be a set thing for all feilds in order to balance it, and/or create more. But, something I noticed, if these bases are EVEN the actual bases, and the ACTUAL method that CCP uses, then it seems that all, or most, of the base statistics are hereby so outdated, that they've fallen behind the current flow of things.
Well, that's the example. Either way, as I see it, you can't just simply trot around here saying, "Do this, do that!" There's some serious mathworking in the background, and nobody knows the equation better than the people who are MAKING it. CPM offers advice through the means of massive feild testing. CCP gets their information through minimal feild testing, and creating things. Saying "nerf this, buff that" is crap, and isn't much help. If you tell them to nerf something without considering the method they use for their balancing, then you're telling them to screw their game up at the expense of your own shortsightedness. You're jumping on it like you know it, like you OWN it, like you CREATED it yourself, and you're just making a fool out of yourself because really...YOU ******* DON'T. CPM is supposed to be the forefront of the community, they offer advice, and feedback in a condensed form to the devs. They can't be telling them to nerf, or buff ANYTHING because they don't know the key factors. And of course, CCP can't tell them these things because well...hell, that would mean they'd have to hire them, and pay them.
-Sighs.- It's just really...to me, it's a Flustercuck of misinformation, and lacking of understanding. Just blah, blah, blah...I could say tons of stuff in this post, but it really just bores everyone, and no one would bother reading this entire thing anyways.

Prof 5 shotgunner here... They are so far from OP its insane to even mention them. They are probably the most perfectly balanced guns in the game. |

I consider an item too powerful if I am more successful with that item - having essentially no skills and significantly less ISK investment - than I am with the equipment I specialise in and spend more ISK on.
HAVs is an example of this. My HAV is cheaper than my main dropsuit fit, kills better, survives better, controls the battlefield better, etc. despite the fact that I have almost zero SP invested in it. People say HAVs can be killed, and they can. My HAVs get killed frequently. However, they are generally killed by other HAVs, and I die a lot more when playing infantry.
It has nothing to do with stuff killing me.
