My typical pub fit is a balanced eWAR/Armor tanked SG Dragonfly with REs and an empty equipment slot.
It's sneaky, fast and can alpha all over your face, but it isn't cloaked.
The cloak has transcended and become the excuse for getting shot gunned.

I only use cloaks to get into perfect flanking position but kudos on not using it at all.

I run it on some of my G1 fits on maps with lots of wide open spaces. |

Nice! Going magic man without the magic, thats how you know you are a real scout.
I cloak mainly on ridge lines, open spaces & while hacking. Any other time i need my weapon out since everyone can see shimmers anyways. |

With the cloak a lot of people line to blame their lack of awareness for their deaths recently. More often than not, a you would have been dead anyway even if the enemy wasn't using a cloak.
And myself, I rarely use my cloak, I'm so used to just being sneaky in general from my year of experience as a scout. Most of the time I only use cloaks to traverse open areas safely, and hide from enemies approaching/pursuing me. If you're running behind somebody, a cloak isn't going to help much.
