Nope soon as match was over Eternal Beings attacked them. They should not be able too but dust is broke. So they used a known glitch/exploit.
wait wait wait.
the 'open/attack' window for re-upping is actually 'available' to anyone spamming attack the second a match ends?
I thought they fixed that in like 1.1.
interesting indeed.
from the desk of Cubs:
no this is not the case at all. that they DID fix way back...
the fact that this broken game allows a glitch where multiple attacks sent at the SAME time a particular district goes online will actually go through...
meaning player 1,2,3,4 all send an attack the second a district comes online, all 4 attacks will actually register, rather than just 1 and all others getting the 'specified district is under attack' message.
as a result, through experience, only the LAST actual 'time of battle' would have this 'right' once the match is complete
perfect example: (just an example, not necessarily exact fact on specifics)
corp A has 4 people trying to attack Meildolf v D5. they are all on coms and all hit 'X' at the same exact time
all 4 attacks register.
time of battle (lets say 0100 timer):
0100
0120
0130
0150
0100 match commences, attacking team wins.. district still under attack with clones from before attack happened
while this match is going, the 0120 starts... same result
0130 also going at same time... same result
0150 starts, the 0130 is still going but has no effect. 0150 match attacker wins, defending district loses 150 clones, and 0150 attacking corp can reup the attack. out of the 4, this is the ONLY one that has such a possibility.
Now as CCP has done previously, the FIRST match should be the one that counts, and all others removed/refunded, but this requires support tickets to be sent, and being the attacker, there is no way of 'knowing' there were multiple matches on the same district.
Now KEQ has taken this broken mechanic a step further, controlling their own fate (no reason not to at this point).
This has been a glitch for many months now, CCP has done nothing. in addition, CCP selectively intervenes, as shown thru several posts in even more threads all talking about the same thing...
so while all the KEQ bashing commences as they are the current ones 'in the spotlight' doing it, and the fact that there's literally 5 out of the 245 districts not in possession of DNS makes the situation even more explosive.
is it KEQ's fault? No, not really. they've gotten good at glitching, and shall obviously branded as such because of this, but in reality the fault once again lies on the shoulders of the room of not-so-potty-trained spider monkeys locked in a room with a bushel of bananas and no toilet paper, that have consciously CHOSEN not to address the issue for no LESS than 6 months.
like any normal game, that learns of a potential game-breaking glitch, and quickly codes the fix to prevent it from getting out of control... you know, like every major glitch that's ever happened in this game
But look at the bright side, we have plants and grass on the maps, and don't forget the addition of 'snow' and now 'volcanoes'
sorry to be harsh, but the stupidity and sheer ignorance of the masses once again tends to steer this community off course

That's it... I'm getting a raise or Cubs can find a new secretary
