Is because any mechanic short of using a CR or RR requires you to get very close to the enemy, but attempting to do so will ensure your demise as you can be killed instantly before you can close any respectable amount of distance. There is no way to quickly close distance and stay relevant without getting your ass handed to you.
For example, you have a swarm launcher but you are to far from the target, getting within range of the tank usually means being in extremely vulnerable places where infantry and the tank can eliminate you quickly before you do any form of respectable damage to a tank.
Using a shotgun, there is no effective way to use a shotgun without a cloak since closing distance is practically suicide without a cloak and even in closed quarter map the range and hit detection is so bad you might as well use an ion pistol.
The scout makes the AR work, although if the scout it's good with an AR it's better with a rail or CR.
This is also why the CR and RR are the best weapons, they don't require you to be vulnerable for them to work.
At least with a cloak most of these mechanics are slightly more viable as you eliminate the factor that includes you getting killed for trying to do your job, or trying to get to the intended range of your weapon.

Why not? They make it everything work well, not saying using anything on a medium suit or heavy is bad or UP, but you can make anything work better that is short ranged as a scout since it's so much easier to close distance.

And I will agree it is pretty hard to get in close for those kills. But when I do get in close... I die... but thats because my logi is too chicken **** to follow me up
Well once you close distance you usually have enough HP to engage targets, and your DPS exceeds your enemy which is the great and how some mechanics should work for short ranged weapons. Although you probably die because you have like 3 people on you and a logi who forgot his rep tool.

So.... why should I risk myself in CQC combat?
You don't have to, the CR will always be dominant just saying that when it comes to using a CQC weapon properly the scout is the way to go. It's like a living MWD.

LAV welcome to the world of heavy frames.
Yeah because you can ram an LAV through a tight corridor, this tactic works best for the HMG specially since when you get out of an LAV at top speed you end up like 20Meters from the place you pressed O at.

The only weapons that really require you to Close distance and say really near to your enemy are shotgun and nk, that are great weapons for scouts.
But say that a scout can use better rr and cr because he can Close distance....
I said RR and CR is better because they are just better has nothing about distance, the distance only applies to a shotty or an AR.
