Yup. When I want to farm WP or win a match, the second thing I do (after uplinks in high places) is start spewing nanohives. I'll often kill myself if there's no convenient supply depot, just to get these things down in a timely fashion. It's not cheap, but I cannot recommend this strategy highly enough to anyone with the SP and ISK to do so. Every match where I'm actually trying, this is my spawn order:
First suit:
M-1 logi
2x basic plate
STD AR
R-9 uplink
N-11/A uplink
P-13 uplink
Second suit:
M-1 Logi
2x basic plate
STD AR
Wiyrkomi hive
Allotek hive
Ishukone Gauged hive
Third suit:
M-1 Logi
2x basic plate
STD AR
K17/D hive
Ishukone Flux hive
X-3 hive
Then switch to my combat suit of choice and get to it.

If your team is half-decent, you force the enemy to choose: flux the equipment and die to a hail of bullets during the animation, or fight your team's equipment-boosted sentinels? It's still valuable. Also, only competent players bring flux grenades- many people naively ignore equipment, because they don't realize how incredibly powerful it is.

'Dren' because I'm a huge nerd, plus it doesn't have skill requirements, so I can get three equip slots without spending SP, but yeah it's a BPO. Not that saving 3,000 ISK really matters when I'm committing suicide with over 100k in nanohives on my suit...
