Current game mechanics dictate that Shields should be a hit and run play style. The idea being you try and get the first shot off then reengage the enemy later

Armor should be more of a slow repping stand and deliver type of play style. When in a fight you want to push the attack due to your higher Hitpoints.

With these 2 thing I want to ask the community something.

If 2 enemies are fighting. 1 shield and 1 armor, after the initial attack how long should a shield user wait to reengage the enemy? Should a shield user be trying to kill an armor tanker in 1 attack or should they be trying to weaken them and reengage them when they have the upper hand.

It's hard to say seeing as how most shield tankers I've encountered were also tanking armor...

I don't brick tank my shield suits so I have the mobility to chew someone up, then retreat and reload for a few seconds to get everything back up, then hit them again. Works like a charm most of the time. It really comes down to my opponent, not really any "set in stone" rules.

It depends on whether your Passively tanking, or Actively Tanking. If Passive (Low Regen, High hit points) Kill them before they get in close. If you are Active (High Regen, Lower hit points) you want to duck and weave and come around where they aren't expecting you.

Shield or Armor, in an ideal game would be player's preference (taking into account the damage types you expect).

Depends entirely on the situation. How long will you take to kill them, and how long will they take to kill you?

If the latter < the former, then naturally it's a disengage, reengage affair.

If I don't kill them before I hit half shields, I run for cover. I might attack again depending on what they are in and if they have friends moving in.
