Now wait stop I know what you're thinking. No, I'm not complaining about a sniper. I'm laughing my ass off. So I'm getting sniped, so I decide to look for the sniper. I find them in some hills. Now I'm a cloak scout with knives, so I tried to sneak up behind them. Somehow they noticed me, and they the started trying to melee me. I love it when people think that's a good idea. I easily killed them with my rail rifle, and go back. Now I start getting sniped again... by the same person. Apparently they held a grudge. I went looking, and found them in the exact same spot. This time I actually knifed them, and stayed close to their sniping spot. They went back two more times before realizing that I was going to kill them every time! They were a redline sniper too!
I will stab you in the back! Unless you see me, in which case I will hit that suicide button so fast...

I love that sh!7. I have thrown away more suits and vehicles just to nail snipers hanging out on a ridge. Something about taking away that sense of power and safety from them makes it all worthwhile. Really doesn't cost me very much, either!
That is the sort of hunting I respect. Props to you for using knives, I just can't get a handle on their use.

The thing with knives is that you have to get up behind somebody, they can't know you're there, charge for half a second, then kill them. Simple as that, its slightly harder when their moving. You just have to get used to getting right up behind a guy that could kill you in less then a second. Something you also might notice, is that Advanced knives do 150 damage. That's the same amount as a heavy's melee can do. I found that hilarious... until I realized that nova knives hit twice. By the way, they don't kill heavies. You'll have to finish them with your main weapon (I prefer an assault rail rifle) before they can plaster you to a wall with an HMG.

I am generally rolling up with my badass basic shotgun, shoot twice, then frantically jump around hoping that my speed is faster than their bullets.
Sometimes it works!
Also, I love my pistol. Boom boom, out go their lights.

But here's the problem. You see a group of people, and you decide to kill them all. Now in my case I would slaughter them all with my assault rail rifle, because that thing just tears dropsuits up, but say you don't have that. If you try to use a shotgun here, they'll hear it and hunt you down before you can take another. With nova knives, they won't hear anything. They'll know that somebody on their team just got killed by nova knives, but it could be anywhere. Unless its the person beside you that dies, but at that point your screen just flashed red, and you're on the ground.
