Shotguns don't need a nerf.. neither a buff.. they need a fix, like it was for the HMG in 1.7
They don't shoot in a cone like they're supposed, they shoot in a line, like rifles. (this has been proved many times).
I've used them on my scout till 1.6, still using because I LIKE THEM. But I won't ever run them on any other suit because the ONLY way to make them work is by flanking you.
I don't know if they have worse hit detection than other guns, maybe it's ****** up in the same way... the problem is that if a shoot hits and doesn't register with an AR you will barely notice.. instead if it happens with a SG it's a huge problem... and it happens a lot.
Like many said, the problem isn't the shotgun... (no one was complaining abou it in 1.7, but many were saying it as ****** up), the problem is that i can shoot you when i'm still invisible.

A viable counter should exist for everything, you just want your crutch to remain untouched. Pointless really, CCP may take 3-4 months to do something, but knowing them they will correct the dB problem....eventually

Yes, scouts should see 24/7. That's their role. it was like this before 1.8 and that was good. nobody was complaining about it, let's guess why.
Yes, you're right with this. a counter should exist for everything. It should exist for tanks, gal sentinels with 2000 hp + resistances and for scouts too. But scouts role is to be e-war specialists. you can't see them, they can see you. Fun part is that in 1.7, with a gal scout, i was able to scan more or less everybody on the field because everybody was running logies, heavies and so on. Also, i've never put a damp on it before 1.8, only to avoid proto scanners, and they were pretty rare.
Maybe Gallogi bonus should be rebalanced. And the delay between de-cloaking and shooting be raised. Brick tanking and cloacking is something that shouldn't work together too.
But passive scanning is working as intended. It's working like it was before and THAT is the advantage that scouts have. A scanned scout is a useless scout, a part if you're running a "light assault" like i'm doing with my cal scout.

I have a question to SG users that put sp in proficiency.. I have lv. 2 ATM, would it be of any use to get it at a higher level? Am I really going to OHK more suits or the damage increase is not worth it?
Because as it is now I can't OHK even a lot of scout suits...
