I run Amarr commando with laser and AScR. I am a rare specie. We are few. I do well and do some kills. I am not very skilled player but still I do 10-20 kills. My commando has 250 shield and 600 armour.
I am flanked by a sout with shotgun and he kills me in 2 shots maximum. He kills my galente logi with one shot. I don't complain because the shotgun range is short. He uses his scout skills to flank me unseen (with cloak no need of any skills). if I see him firs often I killed him. I wish he kill me in 3-4 shots (I am a commando damn it) and wit 2 shots for the logi.
A scout with Nova knives kills me in one hit. How axactly knives will penetrate and kill a commando in one hit? logi or assault OK, but commando is suppose to be a heavy suit (very slow). Still I can accept it even I am not convinced it shoud be the case.
At last a scout with an assault combat rifle face me directly (not flanked) and kille me bofore I drop his shields. Few time in a row. I see him clearly he strafes very fast. I tried him with AScR and with AR (both skills maxed). This now is very wrong. a scout facing commando is killing him for les than a blink??? even a full proto scout facing a basic commando face to face in a medium distance shoud not stand a chance. Otherwise the game is TOTALY BROKEN.
now is the scout a scout or a very fast assault???
I can accept assault to kill commando face to face as it is ment to kill. this is his main role to kill. also commando. commando is havier and assault faster. But scout vs commando??? Are you kidding me???
The combat rife is OP and espacially the assault combat rifle. This is a fact. but is there also something wrong now with the scouts? I thing yes. The worst game I've played was agains a full team of scouts and we had scouts logis, assaults and heavies. That means no need of other roles when there are scouts. now hey are very effective assaults and logis. |

Should they be funny??? I am an easy pray and still I enjoy. I do more kills and WP with may gal logi but I still enjoy the commando.
If in a simillar game I do 8-10 kills with the commando I do 15-20 with the logi, but also support my team ??? WHY? both dropsuits are maxed
Shouldnt all the roles be playable and enjoyable and with advantages? |

On the scout with an assault rifle thing, do you even charge bruh? Try using the non-assault variant and hit them with a charged shot. Guarantee you'll like what you see.
My main concern are not the knives but a stright facing scout with a Combat rifle.
But also the knives - I speak about a commando who is a heavy suit. I am OK with the logi. |

logi 180 shield and 370 armour, But it is smaller, faster with higher scan radius and scan precision (I dont see only scouts) with proto dampner - almost invisible for scanners with scan profile of 33.75.
Also a proto scanner with the galente bonus is OK. I use advanced dropsuit for both. Just with the logi I run faster and scan. I also die a lot but it is defenitely more usefull than the commando.
Commando is an easy slow target, but still I repeat myself. shotty scouts are fine. I don't accept a front faceing scout with CR to kill a commando.
I kill anything else without CR. I killed many scouts with shotty or AR or any sidearms they carry. I killed many heavies with the laser from medium range. |

I can agree with that. maybe I wrote too much :) My main point here is commando facing a scout in mid range and the scout wins with at least half of his health. And please don't start with: the scout is a lot more experienced player. I am not the best but have my main skill to lv 5 (dropsuit, shields, armour, weapons)
Also there are more scouts now with CR than shotguns or knives. |

On Knifes: to kill someone you habe to get in range (1m). If someone manages to do that the kill is deserved. Knifers can easily be avoided by just strafing and backpedalling like crazy.
The scout you encountered face2face may have been a caldari. Sometimes there are some issues with their hitbox (or the lag in general) which makes Thema pretty difficult to kill.
The CR is a bit OP. A slight damage reduction or a change in their effectivity against shields/armor could bring them in line. But I have to say that the rail rifle is pretty equal to the CR, only the plasma rifle seems to be broken. Another fact is that most people stack armor plates, making the CR and RR even more powerful due to their bonus in damaging armor
Thanks, At last a reasonable answer I was looking for. All the rest are scouts dying to protect their gameplay. Of course scouts are not overpowered, the rest are underpowered!!! Also where are the assaults. they must predominate. now they are replaced by armoured scouts???
And commando must be as usefull as the rest. I am very happy with my logi. No complains there. |
