((Indeed I do not recall making any comments regarding the Prophecy Trailer simply put because I wished to query PIE Inc Admirality on whether or not it can be considered cannonical and or if our clones can know about it.
Additionally if you are considering Vak Atioth it should be known that only several hundred or so sub capital class vessels only comprising one of many Imperial Squadrons was deployed to the battle against the suspected thousands of years more technologically advanced Jove....and even then the Jove lost 1 in 3 vessels.
The Empire has never, in any conflict ever, committed its fullest strength against a foe, not during the Great Rebellion, and not in modern history, and according to Mordu is the large and in his opinion the closest to "winning" being able to hold off 3 rival navies, even with older technology and designs.

isn't it the current belief that reason the 4 empires don't go to full on war with each other is because they know that if they do, the capsuleers will immediately tare them down?

My friend; you misunderstand. P.I.E. is not being used to refer to the Praetoriani (whose service to the empire is duly recognised), but in this case, "P.I.E." is the acronym of "Pit of Incessant Embezzlement".
