it actually deals some pretty nice damage to other dropships if I can actually hit the things. and I got two kills.(redline railgun one-shotted me, in my last moments of flight, steered it into wiping a rooftop and crushing two poor pricks to death before bailing out)
on paper: these things should be absolute monsters, with DPS that approaches HMG levels(21 shots per second, 54.4 damage each shot at proto with maxed skills equaling 1143.45 DPS). in practice: thing handles like a drunk walrus and the auto-level is not doing it any favors. had to switch to first person view to shoot at derpship.
EDIT: ADV blaster, no SP in galente ADS
If you hear the words "WORTH IT!" look about, something hilarious just happened.

eh, I just hope the jets get a bonus to the RoF for blasters. imagine strafing runs/ dogfights with those things basically being miniguns.
Or frying a tank with successive runs(over 1k DPS, so unless jets are painfully slow, you'll need more than one pass. and if they are then )

Last build, I tried out blaster LAVs- they can't actually hurt other vehicles because the damage-per-sh0t isn't high enough to cancel out the shield regen; shields, even on LAVs, regen faster than you can damage them.
I did sideswipe him off a building then shot at him as he flew away, he flew in nice, straight lines.
Though, a tank, an installation, and some swarms jacked my kill. I chewed through his shiedls(caldari, so he was basically toast at that point) So much crap converged on him that I didn't even get an assist! Did get damage though.

Must have been pretty close to the redline eh?
yup. the one dom map with a city socket on one side and a lab/reactor thing. on the other, with the objective on the bridge in the middle, started on the lab/reactor side, the building I improvised some squishing on was not even 100 meters from their redline.
