Its not UP, I was really comfortable with it ( since its fully automatic ). And i did get kills , i think its back 
You cant see me caldari scouts ;)

I've found the AR to be in a good spot, particularly on my gal commando. Even on my scout it does a good job of downing other scouts at a safe range.
Your game f'ing sucks, but I'll still play it.... damn you!

I always thought they were boring, and got SRs to prof 5 as soon as possible.
People use the new weapons because we've had the AR for so long.
I bet if they changed up the look of the AR, called it the plasma rifle, but kept the stats the same, more people would start using it again.

If they called it the pulse rifle, made it fire streams of green plasma and changed the firing sound to the one out of Aliens...man. Yeah. I basically just want a pulse rifle, really. More seriously though, the CR still outclasses it. The fitting costs need to be switched at the very least.

It really isn't, the bonus for us GalAss's only affects dispersion and if you already have SS to V like myself it makes absolutely no difference. I've seen some people make the mistake of assuming less dispersion means more range; this is wrong. aR bullets still lose power over the same distance, they are just slightly closer together so you might land a shot or two more then if you didn't have it.
Is the AR in a good place? Debatable, but yes it can still kill a decent amount. However compare it to the CR or RR and you see how it really is kind of pointless. This used to be the case with all three other rifles, however the ScR is balanced now that armor is a hard counter to it as intended.
TL;DR
The "Assault Rifle", just as the Assault class, is simply outperformed and doesn't have a place where it has an advantage. It isn't overly useless, but anything you can do with it can be done better by using its counterpart.

Yeah really. Keep that look. It's a ripoff of the pulse rifle. I love it! Add the grenade launcher back on it and it'd be awesomerer!
