I think we can look at examples of history where one major power had control over much of the known world and were eventually defeated by less advanced groups. Unfortunelty in Dust this isn't much of a possiblility due to game mechanics. You can't launch "sneak attacks", your less advanced group cannot be reinforced with greater numbers in battle to overwhelm the more advanced army, the starmap is pretty but means nothing for a strategic attack like it should. The only thing that would put an end to this is the collapse of the DNS alliance. It is an alliance that controls Molden Heath after all, not just a single corporation.
If you are in DNS why not start attacking your allies. It will shake things up and make the game a little more fun |

Orrrrr, when the player market opens up they'll just buy everything on the market that's for 100million or less until there's nothing left that the average player can access and they'll laugh and laugh and laugh.

Planetary conquest is a broken game mode it is absolutely impossible for new corps and older corps with to get anywhere and when you see how much Isk the bigger corps have it makes it more pointless. |

But on a serious note though... anyone remember the GOOD days of DUST? The 8v8 matches? Remember when people actually wanted competition... then PC got introduced and DUST became Farmville514...Pepperidge Farm remembers. No. I don't remember that. I do remember constant bitching about it and a sense of honor and ideals attempting to penetrate a game that never welcomed it, though.
At this point people won't remember DUST was actually a fun competitive game back in the day. People got so used to farming that DUST has become EVE. Farm to your hearts content. I guess that's what people consider "molding your own destiny" in DUST huh?
"Having a purpose" and "fighting for a reason"... LOOOOL... fighting to farm ISK, such a revolutionary concept.
I guess if that's what fun is, I'll stick to being bored. 8v8's was the most fun I had in DUST in retrospect. Even the early days of PC before spam tactics became the norm, and farming became a symbol of Planetary Conquest. Attacking people for the fun of it no longer was considered as sport, but started to become a chore because people wanted a bigger picture of better things... only to realize that this bigger picture is just a farming simulator.
I'm not talking about all the pipedreams they fed the community, I'm talking the realistic goals that DUST could achieve. It's pathetic that this game is still a lobby shooter, without even a lobby to rotate maps. It's sad that PC became a the mirror of EVE of who can farm the most to save up for an imaginary war that might never happen again because the donut is so big in DUST in a community so small, that nobody would risk losing their piece of imaginary pie.

Actually it's not, if people coordinate it would be very easy to retake. many people just dont have the balls to attack DNS for whatever reason, many corps say they are against DNS but not many fight against DNS.
Well, for one, not many of us have your big vault of cash money to swim around in Scrooge McDuck-style, Viktor.
Second, I think FA already took the best independent team you could realistically put together and tried that... Oh look, they're in DNS now too.

If you guys want to retake Districts from DNS, start a Chat Channel (in-game Alliance) Players collectively agree to chip-in for clone packs, coordinate an effort in one district and start chopping away at the tree of wealth. It's not that difficult to keep them busy around the clock and spread their strongest squads out and take advantage of them having too much ground to actively cover all at once. I'd bet that there are more PC ready players NOT in DNS than there are in DNS.

Said it in more details in previous posts on this topic, CCP needs to tie the price/value of clone packs to the supply and demand, simple as that...
