1 Make every corp have a home planet where all of their clone packs are sent from if they own a district. 2 When a corp has a battle away from their home planet the spawn timers are modified according to how many jumps away from their home plannet they are fighting. 3 If ringers are brought in then they recieve penalty based on their corp or the attacking/defending corp, whichever is higher. 4 If a corp owns multiple districts they are capable of changing their home district once a day and changes occur at downtime.
Any ideas to keep this from being exploited? |

how does having a home district cripple the isk making mechanic that has killed PC? It doesnt
how does having spawn timers prevent the corporation from sending clones from districts all over the place? It doesnt
what do ringers have anything to do with the PC situation? Nothing
how does changing a home districts affect the status of PC? It doesnt.
But, if all of this were to happen, a corp being attacked 2 jumps away from its home district would be facing spawn timers of , just an example not for actual reference, 30 seconds. It would be really hard to keep a district that was that far away. And it should be exponential. For example if it was 3 jumps away then the number goes way up 60 seconds. 4 would be 120 seconds. 5 jumps 240 seconds. |

Y= number of jumps to district being attacked from home district
15x2^Y
That is where those numbers came from. But again they are just estimates. Also no modifier would be done to home planet districts or perhaps a buff to fighting on your home districts, like 10 seconds instead of 15. |

We'll see. CCP will have to start implementing something to make PC not completely stupid.

Maybe smaller timers. Or 3 simultaneous battles for 1 district.
But you have to think about preventing ISK farming, district locking etcGǪ
Its not a easy quest. If they move the game to PS4 its possible to make it open map.If you look from the boarders of one district you see the next district already. Yeah. But we need a short term solution. Increasing player count in battle is a very hard task. |

An alliance will be more than capable of working together to defend their districts. Just not in the way that DNS is taking over all of PC. Spawn timers away from a home district?
This is a terrible idea. Why should I have to spawn in slower for a battle...giving a handicap to the other team?
I'm all for handicaps that get us back to skirmish 1.0 in PC...but adding seconds to a spawn modifier is a bad idea.
Penalties to ringers? This is just an annoyance, not an answer.
Being mercenaries in new eden should be encouraged, not limited.
If corporations in New Eden had accessible means to attack as often as they wished with the proper clones to fight, then there's 240 battles that could be fought every other day...an average of 120 a day.
It's a sandbox bro, don't box others out with poor ideas that fit your agenda:
PEOPLE SHOULDN'T BE ABLE TO OWN SO MANY DISTRICTS QQ MAKE IT STAHP WITH RULES! RINGERS BAD! LET'S PENALIZE!
Empower others, don't restrict. If you wish to do away with all rules then by all means lets have no timers to attack as the person before you suggested. But when players know two days beforehand that all their best players need to be online for a battle, then only a select few players get to participate in a game mode ment for everyone. I don't want to keep good players out of PC. I just think that it shouldn't be exclusive to less than 100 players. The 'rules" I put up would not stop anyone from being a merc either. As long as you are fighting as a ringer and own no districts in your corp there would be no extra penalty. The only thing that this would accomplish would be to give more people the oppertunity to participate in PC.
A single corp could hold over 30 districts without having penalty on a single one of them if placed in the right area. That is about 15 battles a day. This would in no way limit the ammount of PC a player could participate in. So please, say again why this is a bad idea? |

Draco Cerberus wrote:I think an Open World concept being applied to Dust would solve most if not all of the PC issues. There would be no warning, people would just attack. Landing an MCC on the planet via Eve pilot flying it there would initiate the attack, players not on and not expecting it would be unable to participate but it would give Dust corps a reason to be part of new eden, not just having the same company make the product.
In addition to the Eve pilot bringing in the MCC, this would allow for a space defense of your districts to be possible. Bringing a need for PVPers to be a part of your corp, alliance and coalitions. This also allows for the hiring of pilots to take on the giant corps as a valid tactic, considering they can bring anything from subcaps to caps into these fights it is sure to make things more interesting Eve side anyways.
Now for the juicy Dust bit (I call it mud). No redline, no line at all and if you have the time, moving the battle (strategic withdrawal to the district beside yours) would be possible. Allowing battles to go on until clone reserves are depleted.
Clone Packs would also need adjustment. From the 150 clone (hope I get this right) to 300. As a caveat, this suggestion could be modified to allow for multiple clone pack purchases rather than an increase in size.
Deployment and grouping of troops needs to change as well to allow the formation of the team beforehand in Platoon deploy, whereby there is a platoon leader who can invite squads to his platoon. Max number of troops in battle should be unlimited, the only limiting factor being the number of clones available (sandboxes are fun).
District maintenance and upkeep is another factor not addressed atm which I think would need to be changed as well. Putting a drone damage to structures mechanic in place (PVE for Everyone) whereby troops deploy to the planet during off hours to kill drones and thereby prevent damage to their districts would add something different and flavorful to Dust. If there is an incursion in local this should also affect the districts, causing us to have an additional way to earn Concord LP to be converted to whatever faction we choose for the purchase of items.
Incursions being mobile in nature and quite deadly for the unprepared I feel that is important to point out that this would give a great reason to have more districts open in more regions to help the Eve pilots depopulate the Sansha as efficiently as possible. Joint Incursion parties (EVE + Dust) would add a new dynamic to the universe unseen thus far whereby the Incursion community would be able to enlist mercs to help kill the MOM via a ground to Space cannon. Who says we need to be defenseless against the horde of evil sansha? This is a good idea. The only thing that I would suggest is to make clones a little cheaper so the battle would be constant. But yes the sandbox is where this game belongs. |

Who says we need to be defenseless against the horde of evil sansha? This is it right here, OP. What Draco said. Dust doesn't have nearly the same open-world versatility as EVE. That is why PC suffers. Eve is big enough for everyone. Dust isn't The absolute MOST annoying part, is CCP's REFUSAL (not incapability) to put Dust on PC and PS4. A stronger platform would be better able to depict the Dust vision we were sold on. Basically, Arma3 meets EVE Online. You look at a company like Digital Extremes, arguably smaller than CCP, successfully developing Warframe for PC and PS4... and watch them win the MMOBOMB competition for greatest free2play game... Then you ccme back to this to hear CCP crying about how hard developing is for the PS3 and how they have to "focus their efforts on developing on the PS3", because the PS3 is an "overflowing well of opportunity". (There were several million PS2s, aint no one developing on that. There are MILLIONS of obsolete gaming consoles in people's possession, aint no onedeveloping for them. At LEAST do an HD port of Dust to the PS4 and PC, so we can get 60+ frames, becausr the graphics are terrible.) 1.8 has restored some of my faith in Dust, but there are some problems that are not going to go away while the current platform is maintained. Problems with PC are one of those problems. An open-world system would never have had an EoN, simply too much ground to cover and not enough players. And with interception of the MCC possible EVE side, threats bigger threats can interfere. I'd like this. But i want a fix this decade |

(facepalm) Now you aren't being compelling you've resorted to shifting the spotlight instead of defending why your ideas are plausible or refuting the qualms i've raised. In the best corps you can only field that 1 team at 1 battle...so if they have 5 timers in an hour how will they defend with those same 16 as you suggest? Your guess that it's the same 100 is artibrary and incorrect. Not even close tbh. If there are so many PC players in DNS, then this would actually not hurt them at all. So why are you crying? |

-some scrub Yes your numbers must be right. 4 corps making the dirty work for the alliance. This is my point 4 corps to take MH. I respect you guys and i don't question that you have top players. But should this be the end of it??? GAME OVER ??? Don't you want more challenge ??? And i don't respect NS,DDB the only reason they are in PC is lucky t be in the right alliance. I have seen allot better coprs. I sure don't want a game over. I'm sitting at over 30 mil SP. But hey, if DNS is afraid of the challenge of actually needing a strategy and CCP agrees, I'll be happy to let dust gather dust. |
