What future?... ... ... ...
Oh right. I was going to explain something. So, we all know how Planetary Conquest is screwed up to no bound, and that CCP will never fix the mistakes we OP gamers have brought upon the mewbies (yes, I mean you kittens) in this $0 game. Pubs are still fun somewhat, and Faction Warfare is the future of corporation battles. I have many ideas on what's going to happen over the course of the next few months, especially when Summer comes into play.
Currently, DNS is overthrowing CCP themselves, since there is nothing CCP can do to stop our revolution of the entire enslavement of the Molden Heath population. How I see it is that DNS will consume itself in it's own DNS Black hole (See what I did there ) and cause a corruption to the game itself in entertainment and play-ability. Some leech corporations might suck the last out of Planetary Conquest and make it some kind of Utopian society free of their dictators for a few weeks, but the cycle will start again until the entire game kills itself because it goes crazy when stuck in a loop in time and space... Literally!
I am seeing all these new players thinking that this game is so much fun, their going to own their own district one day, and ultimately conquer Planetary Conquest. I sit back sipping on Sprite and eating pizza, hearing their aspirations for this doomed game, and laugh inside at how they take it so seriously. False hope is what this game pretty much works upon to make it appealing.
I stand aside DNS for now, but there will be a day when DNS will crumble like the past, such is life. The horrible choices we make and the mud we sling will never cease, such is life. We are fated to repeat our mistakes, such is life.

You aren't wrong. I'm not putting too much blame on DNS. We're just one of the things that will force the Dust community to move over to that game!
The-Beard wrote: Ok, so here we have a classic sign of "stuck on stupid". DNS isn't overthrowing CCP, how can it? As for CCP doing nothing, why would they?
I'm not necessarily saying that DNS broke the game. I'm saying that DNS has made it so that anybody that isn't in the alliance will never have a chance to participate in PC. I still love playing pubs and FW (Which is where corporation battle will now take place from now on) and they do indeed pose as the most popular part of Dust 514 (sadly). PC was a thing.
I am being metaphorical when I say "DNS is overthrowing CCP." In Layman's terms, I'm trying to explain that CCP cannot do anything to kick us off Molden Heath or give anyone that isn't DNS a chance to be in Planetary Conquest, nor would they try unless it affected the player base count, which it will when I see multiple 10-20 man corporations saying that they want to own a district on Molden Heath one day (Trust me. I run into these types of people everyday). In truth, I believe Kain is trying to prove something to CCP about the gaming community of Dust so they are going to be forced to do something about it, but that's another topic.
Your argument is valid. I understand what you are trying to say, and I agree with you. I don't care if I made DNS sound like an idiot. I think when I wrote this, I intended to make them sound idiotic. Similar to how we, as the human race, look back on HitIer or Stalin.
(I have to add, though, this is all temporary. The transfer of power from one overlord to another will begin shortly after these messages.)

As a hobby-philosopher, this drives tears to my eyes. Tears of joy for someone got a little bit wiser. And as a leftie, it makes a beautiful illustration of the necessity of political intervention in an "anarchic" environment that clearly doesnt serve its purpose anymore. Its a sublime experience. Thank you for that
I'm glad someone takes my speech with a little inference into what I'm trying to display.
If I had the time, I'd delve into philosophy and historical re-occurrences to laugh my *** off at the fact of how stupid the human race is to repeat the same mistake we've always encountered. I've always been interested in what kind of society would be the most effective for the community. This... anarchist communist society... is not the correct choice. I can tell you that for sure, with the diminishing player base as my support.

The-Beard wrote: That's just it, anybody that cares to can still participate in PC. FW has always been the place that corp battles took place since CCP added it (it was a safe place where no one could steal your district should they won and decide to do so). Sure PFC was one where you could kinda do a corp battle, but it wasn't intended for that. So, we go to guys that set up thunder dome, that was the closest thing we could get for true corp battles. It was later proposed that there would be a thunder dome planet which sadly and thankfuly never came to be.
To say that anyone not in your alliance will never have a chance to participate in PC is not only erroneous, but ridiculous. Explain how DNS has denied participation in PC. You can't, because people can still attack DNS districts, they still have a chance to win those districts, and they still have a chance to hold said districts. Just because DNS is hard alliance to beat does not mean that they have denied anyone participation in PC. All DNS has done is make it more difficult to gain and hold districts. Comment on this one, I'd like to know if your logic holds weight, is flawed or if you just speak from arrogance.
Again, why would CCP do anything? Then you redundantly again go into a spiel about anybody not in DNS having a chance in PC. So, lets stick with the question I asked. Kain might be trying to prove something or maybe he trying to be like Goon Swarm and get some notoriety. Either way, that is only something kain can answer, but you have to wonder if he will answer in honest or meta.
I'm not trying to be arrogant. I feel for every corporation, big or small, as a whole, and I try to speak from a third person perspective. I tried to say that I did understand what you meant when you said PC is still viable as a community activity, no matter what corporation or alliance you were in. But my logic still holds up unless some out of nowhere corp that has been practicing in local pubs where no one can see them and has mastered the art of Dust kwon do, the power and massive number of people that DNS holds will indeed succeed over any kind of competition.
However, that fact only holds up while Dust Nap Squad is still intact and functioning correctly. (Which goes back to what I said in the first place. They will crumble.)
Do you know how difficult it is to take a district with a clone pack, too? It would take close to 100 mil per battle, have a risk factor of 50-80% of losing all your clones (Depending on the map and player strength), and not only would you have to field a team of 16 really good guys, but you'd have to do it three days in a row at the same exact time. To me, that looks like more of a chore than a game, and if the entertainment part of "electronic entertainment" is taken out, then I see no reason for it to be worth the trouble.
PC was and always will be more work than it's worth, and now DNS has made it even harder for corps to participate in ACTUAL BATTLE with each other (Clone count ~300 per, no glitchy maps, 1-3 battles all at once). Sure, there are a few districts still untaken by DNS, but those corporations are cowering in fear and spamming their locks on the district to survive. That is no way to play Planetary Conquest. It's sad.
Spamming clone packs, not losing more than 120 clones, winning each and every battle, and getting up to doing it over the course of three days to score a district that will only hold up for a day before DNS attacks it again. If that doesn't sound like a pain, then I don't know what does. So I'm not being arrogant, nor ignorant, impartial, or an ***.
I'm being a realist. (So yeah, you can call me an ***)
