As far as CCP's financial records are concerned, Dust is actually making a profit.

yes, the CPM works hard at what they do. I'm not sure they are focusing on the problem at hand here.
Talk to your CPM representatives for starters. Since they will be going to Fanfest this year, now is the time to post your suggestions to them in the Council Chamber of the forums. They will be talking to devs directly while they are there. They'll probably be able to talk or find someone to relay your information to the appropriate team if able to.
Another thing to do is go Fanfest yourself this year and talk to them in person (be nice to them though).
There is also the fact that after Fanfest 2014 we will be having a first official elections for the CPM1 and there you will have a chance to vote someone in or run yourself for CPM1 and hope to encourage change that way.
Another thing to look out for is when a new update has been deployed, CCP Logibro posts a thread looking for feedback. If you can get your post in there in the first 2-3 pages, your chances of getting noticed will increase. So stay on the ball with that.

That is the result and research and development. R&D will always put you in the red no matter what kind of company you are.

noted. But in the red is still in the red. I wonder what R&D they were doing? I hope it's good stuff.
A lot of it being good stuff, but bare in mind that a lot of that good stuff probably won't get realized until a year or so later or never see the light of day. Such is the nature of R&D. It's like playing the Florida Lotto.

Be lucky that Dust 514 and Eve Valkyrie even got this far in terms of development. World of Darkness which was originally conceived by White Wolf (bought by CCP Games) was announced approximately 5-7 years ago to be the next MMO game from CCP. As of 2014, it is still stuck in the R&D phase. All we know is a couple of CGI trailers which are not even gameplay trailers of WoD. And this is a game that started development years before Dust 514 came to be thought of.

TYCHUS MAXWELL wrote:Can you tell me where you guys are getting how much Dust made in this auditor report? All I see is Eve and Dust sales costs. Other than that it's all conglomerated amounts. Which it doesn't even specify dev salaries based upon what project that number is also conglomerated. What page is it on that it lists Dust individually on it's costs and revenue? Everywhere I've looked in the report it shows CCP as a whole on revenue from its games. I didn't even see where it listed Sony's licensing fees for ps3 development. I looked at page 12 where it was mentioned but that's just tax references.
It's spread across multiple pages and you'll have to go back an forth between some pages and the notes to get a better picture of what's going on. I'm not a professional accountant (though I do have basic accounting knowledge) but the picture does look promising for Dust at first glance.

@TYCHUS
I found the link to the thread I posted earlier about this. Perhaps I misunderstood the statement. But still, even if I'm wrong and that there is no way to tell if Dust is making a profit, there is also no way to tell if Dust is costing too much in development. Keep in mind that this report was compiled by a independent third party auditing firm with no ties to CCP. It's safe to assume that maybe those bean counters weren't too privy on making a report that is gamer friendly to say the least.
