It feels to me like they didn't change the sensitivity accordingly when they buffed the zoom FOV. That's my guess.

That is exactly how it feels. At optimal the beam is very sensitive to the smallest movement and very difficult to use.

Tip to anyone who has trouble with it: Put two complex damage mods on it.
The DPS of the laser rifle is in the thousands after a short while, so the damage bonus you get from two damage mods is huge. It's the only weapon except for the sniper rifle where I would suggest damage mods over shield extenders.
My intentions is to have a fun game for everyone.
If I seem to be biased, I have good hard data to back it up.

Which is why I use an Amarr commando at level 5. 10% damage bonus plus the lazer prof skills. My fave weapon.

And a combat rifle for any pesky armour tankers whos shields I obliterate; or if they think rushing me is a good way to deal with my ranged lazer weapon.

They should lower the ADS sensitivity for lasers. Or allow us to set it ourselves for each weapon.
Why is there a difference between various weapons anyway? Anyone know? |

So what? They changed the damage multiplier, that's a much better choice, conserves ammo while still increasing the DPS.
