Joined oceania servers and ran into the same thing...
it depends.
If you join the battle, check the player list, and see that there is a corp on.. especially Southern Legion... then just L1->leave battle, and try a new one.

... Why not map out actual progress on a roadmap for commentary instead of hiding in the bunker and unleashing it all of a sudden with zero consultation to find your changes, like so many others, are flawed or just generally don't actually address the problem. Secret = stupid.
Exactly.
Almost every time you guys do something "in secret", you screw it up. Rather than have you guys spend a lot of tweaking time, to have it completely useless when you release it.. how about telling us up front, so we can give you guys feedback, so you can release something that is actualy effective from day 1 of you releasing it??
also, you mentioned "small changes".
"small changes" will never, EVER, fix the new player experience. Only large, drastic changes, like introducing mandatory level tiering of battles, will have any meaningful effect.
Plus, rather than make assumptions about (well, if we did X, it could be nice, but there wont be enough player interest...
ASK US!
You have some nice custom focus software here. So add a poll feature. Then you can ask future questions, and make related decisions on HARD DATA, rather than vague guesswork about user preferences.

True. But it will at least be fair from an equipment standpoint. Then the newberries will be more able to appreciate, "wow. that guy really nailed me.. wonder if I can do the same?"
vs
"I just got killed by a WHAT, using a WHAT?!?!? OH what's the use I can never compete with that..."

Lucrezia LeGrand wrote:it's all about persistence and cheap suits. CCP won't let me change my name so I create alts all the time. I find that if you're willing to let your k/d ratio drop, than you can get tons of isk running militia stuff. Just stick it out to the end of the match, and as long as you keep pushing yourself, try to take objectives, and hack the crap out of things it doesn't matter if you die 20 times.
cause your militia suit is less than 4,000, and you're going to be making about 100,000 isk on average. ...
here's a cheap fit that will help: militia gallente light frame combat rifle or rail rifle
Alternatively, just go full starter suit. If you like shooting people, invest SP into AR skill, and sharpshooter. Reap kills. If you die, you havent lost anything. It's all pure profit.
if you like being a medic, be an ambulance chaser in the starter medic fit and get revive points.
(actually, its a sad truth that for most racial starter fits, medic is the best allaround free suit anyway ,so just stick with that! It has an AR, and self-repair and the most amount of armor usually!)
